The Cove at Stoney Point is a calm, sunny vacation spot on a wide, grassy lawn leading down to level frontage on Beaver Dam Lake. This 1,800-square-foot, modern rental home features a newly updated kitchen with granite countertops, a large breakfast island and all the modern appliances — coffee maker, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, refrigerator, oven and stove — as well as cookware and dining utensils.
The living room is comfortably furnished with plush sofas and a picture window that provides a view of the lake, as well as plenty of natural light. This open living space also includes a wood-burning fireplace and a stand-alone coffee bar. On the lower level, guests will find a second large recreation space with a huge stone hearth and fire place, a table and chairs for dining or for playing cards and board games, cozy lounge furniture and a flat-screen TV.
Sleeping arrangements: The Cove is equipped with three private bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed. On the lower level, there is also a full-sized sleeper sofa.
The Cove at Stoney Point enjoys a private outcropping on Beaver Dam Lake, with gentle waters accessible by a boardwalk and private dock. Guests are provided with multiple options for outdoor lounging and dining — there are tables on the lawn, on a paved back patio and on an upper level deck, with Adirondack beach chairs set down closer to the water and around a stone fire pit. Guests are invited to grill, swim, fish and sunbathe at this beautiful and relaxing Wisconsin lakeside getaway.
The city of Beaver Dam in southern Wisconsin is just a few minutes’ drive from your quiet vacation spot at The Cove, offering local grocery stores, cinemas, bowling and unique shops and restaurants. A few of our favorite places to eat include Japanese food at Sake House — online ordering and delivery available — and the Palenque Mexican Bar & Grill. Guests can pay a visit to Chippy's Popcorn Creations for an edible souvenir. Chippy’s offers specialty popcorns, fresh-squeezed lemonade, retro candies and ice cream — perfect for an afternoon snack after a day on the lake. The surrounding area is home to Derge Park, where guests can picnic and play, as well as excellent golfing at the Beaver Dam Country Club.
Venturing farther from the outskirts of town, guests will find a variety of outdoor activities such as fun on the water at Beaver Dam Lake — including boating, fishing, swimming, tubing and water skiing — as well as hiking, biking and wildlife-viewing on the surrounding trails and countryside. Beaver Dam is an especially active place in May and June when the community hosts a number of festivals and events. Guests may want to time their visit to coincide with live music and car displays at Race Into Summer, tutorials and learning and Kids Fish N Fun Day, or contests and demonstrations at Nancy’s Sewing Weekend.
Things to Remember: Guests will need to bring their own queen-sized linens — including sheets and pillow cases — for each bed they intend to use.

We had a very nice time at the lake house. Being familiar with the area, we knew what we were getting ourselves in to and there was no disappointment. The house accommodations were certainly above par, and we were able to have a thanksgiving family feast at the house. It was really pleasant to wake to a sunrise over the lake for most of the mornings since the weather was very cooperative (all things considered for a WI November). The kitchen appliances and laundry room are upscale. Having to supply our own linens and waiting for the electric heat to initially warm up the house were the only challenges slightly out of the ordinary. Looking forward to the next opportunity to return to Beaver Dam Lake. Ruth A., Dec. 4, 2017
The Cove is a nice cozy spot. The weather wasn't on our side, so we didn't get to utilize the nice deck and yard, but it was perfect. So glad to have found it — will return!! Gil A., Oct 15, 2017
My 3 sisters and I stayed here this weekend and we loved it! Plenty of space to be comfortable in the house. Very well-equipped kitchen. Nice bedrooms and bathrooms as well. We only wish the weather had been better, so we could have used the fire pit in the yard. Beautiful back yard setting. Highly recommend this rental. Owner, Gail, was easy to deal with and very informative as well. Marianne J., Oct. 8, 2017
We thought the overall experience was great! We were hoping the fishing would be better, but that had nothing to do with the home. With such a large lawn, we had fun with lots of outdoor games. The huge fire pit was one of the best features....and right by the water! Watching the pelicans and fire flies was our nightly ritual. Carrie S., Aug. 25, 2017
We loved our 2-week stay at the cove! My husband, three boys and I stayed sufficiently entertained with the cove, and Beaver Dam's amenities. The view from the house is gorgeous and pictures are true to the property. Gail is a terrific host. We appreciated her kindness! Rachelle D., July 29, 2017
The house was very nice, and it had everything we needed. The decor was cute, and it was very clean. We spent most of our time in the yard, enjoying the views and all the wildlife. We enjoyed BBQing and bonfires each night. The only recommendations would be to wear bug spray at night, there were so many bugs and lots of mosquitoes. Also, bring a tube or raft so you can enjoy the lake. Amy M., June 11, 2017
Six of us went to the Jim and Gail's cabin on Beaver Dam and had a nice time. The furnishings were comfortable, and the basement was perfect for playing cards. There are several nice restaurants around and we especially like Feils on Hwy G. Jim and Gail were very accommodating and answered all our questions quickly. Claude Z., Feb. 15, 2017
