This traditional chinked-plank cottage has a classic rustic look on the outside, but a comfortable Northwoods interior on the inside complete with air conditioning. A stone gas fireplace in the living room with TV/cable will be the place to gather and watch a favorite show at night. A main level bedroom, two lower level sleeping areas and 2 baths make this a perfect vacation spot for your family or families vacationing together. You can even bring the family dog.
The kitchen has a cozy built-in corner log table/bench nook seating area that will surely be the spot for card games as well as eating. The fully equipped galley kitchen contains a refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, cooking utensils, silverware, glassware, and dishes. Dining room tables seats 6-8 with additional seating at the breakfast bar. A patio dining table on the deck offers an outdoor dining area with spectacular views and wildlife viewing. Note: Be sure to bring your own kitchen, bath, and swimming towels.

It’s a short drive north to the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center located near Ashland. The Museum lets you time travel back to learn how voyageurs paddled 35-foot birch bark canoes across Lake Superior during the 18th century fur trade era. Displays describe how human cultures have utilized the land, water, and natural resources of the area from the Ice Age to the present. Featured events highlight works by local artists and educational movies in the Martin Hanson Theater.

Deposits: For stays less than a week, one half of the rental total is required. For weekly rentals half of the weekly amount is required. Booking Fee: 4% non-refundable booking fee on all reservations.
Cancellation Policy: There is no cancellation allowed from Memorial Day through Labor Day, Holidays, or dates of area special events, i.e.: Birkebeiner, Fat Tire, Deer hunting season, etc. If you must cancel, deposits will only be refunded if NCVR is able to rent those dates you reserved. For dates other than those stated above, there is a 30-day cancellation policy.
