Since you book directly with us here at the Shawano Lake Resort, we can share our local knowledge so you too can feel like a local. For example, one of the more unique tours is the Amish & Barn Quilt Tour and is narrated by a local guide. It’s your best value in lodging.

During summer, it will be hard to leave “life on the lake” thanks to the provided picnic tables, charcoal grills and campfire pits, but there is more to see and do. Explore beautiful Shawano County Park. If golfing is part of your cabin time experience, you’ll be happy to know that there are several public 18 hole golf courses. The cultural driving tours are something to see too: the Amish Country Tour, Menominee and Mohican Nation Cultural Tours.
Mid-October is generally considered fall peak season in this neck of the woods. The drive to the cabin is filled with autumn's kaleidoscope of colors! Watch for shops nestled in our historic downtown and Amish countryside and shop tip you drop.
