A Shoreline Retreat is a beautiful home directly on Lake Michigan in Door County Wisconsin. This peaceful vacation home just exudes comfort, with its stunning views and atmosphere. During the summer, guests can reserve this home for a minimum of 7 nights, and in the spring or fall minimum is 4 nights.
There are 3 full bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, which means the home can comfortably sleep up to 6 people. The first bedroom is a master suite with a king size bed and a private bathroom. The second bedroom has two full beds and a smart TV, so this is the perfect room for late night movies! The final bedroom has a trundle bed with 2 twins. The other bathroom is shared by the second and third bedrooms and comes with a tub shower.
The living room area has a large sectional couch that is positioned right in front of a wood-burning fireplace; so you can stay warm during those chilly fall nights. There is also a Smart TV and DVD player to watch your old favorite films, or start a new series on Netflix. The dining area, between the kitchen and living area, has a gorgeous view of the lake and is large enough to fit up to six people. The kitchen was newly renovated in 2022, and is very well appointed.
The patio offers a grill, and seating to enjoy a morning cup of coffee and breakfast. Additionally, the spacious yard includes a fire pit with seating, so you can roast some s’mores right after watching the moon rise over the water.
A Shoreline Retreat is just 6 miles to Baileys Harbor, and 1 mile to Jacksonport if you are looking to explore town a bit. One of the top-recommended spots to visit in Baileys Harbor is the Ridges Sanctuary. It is a nature preserve that contains over 1,600 acres of land and is recognized as a National Natural Landmark within the US. You can explore and learn more about the history of the region along with its native wildlife.
Another highly-recommended spot in the area is the Door County Brewing Co. This Brewery is family owned and has been around for about a decade now. They are very well-known in the area for their unique craft beers, and it is a great place to just meet new people and chat.
Now, if you are looking for some good cuisine, then go to the Harbor Fish Market & Grille. This restaurant is not only praised for its divine dishes, but also its gorgeous lakefront views.

By Heidi F – Charming mid century family home right on Lake Michigan! The house was very clean, comfortable and exactly as advertised. Plenty of room for 4 adults to enjoy a laid back week in Door County. The kitchen was recently refinished, all dishware and cookware was brand new, making it a joy to cook meals at home when we didn't feel like going out. Host was easy to work with. Would definitely rent this property again!
By Judy H – Home is very clean and comfortable and the kitchen has great pots/pans, coffeemaker, and appliances. Showers deliver plenty of hot water with good water pressure. A little tricky to get into drive with a very large vehicle but convenient to be on Hwy 57. Traffic on that road plus rocky shoreline may make it questionable if one has small children but not too noisy for our party of 2 married couples. Firepit area is comfortable and a great spot to enjoy the fabulous views, which are equally beautiful through all the glass windows at the back of the house. TV and the internet work well. Nice to have firewood provided. Would definitely stay here again!

The home has gorgeous features that are cozy and the kitchen has everything you need. Everything is on one level so it's perfect for someone challenged with upper level bedrooms.
