The Loft at Woodlands Resort in Vilas County is one of three cozy Wisconsin cabins located on the north shore of scenic Plum Lake. This Sayner, WI vacation rental offers comfortable accommodations for four with one private bedroom, one extra futon and one full bath.
The open living space at The Loft is roomy and inviting with unique, rustic-theme decor and natural light that streams in through a double-wide sliding glass door and other windows. The entire cabin is lofted over a private garage, with a wide furnished deck overlooking Plum Lae.
As a guest at The Loft, you have access to a fully equipped kitchen and breakfast bar, a dining table, a sitting room with a wall-mounted flat-screen TV and a collection of games, in addition to the fun outdoor amenities. These include a picnic table and an outdoor grill at each cabin.
This home is well-appointed and relaxing — the perfect getaway for couples or small families. Rental rates at The Loft also include the use of resort amenities, such as a pier and swim raft, a swing set, tetherball and a fish cleaning house. We can even supply firewood for your campfire!
These convenient Vilas County cabins offer onsite rentals for fishing boats and other recreational watercraft so you can easily get out and enjoy the views from Plum Lake. Rental prices are as follows:
Pontoon (with a 50hp Yamaha engine) — $100/day or $700/week
Canoe or kayak (with paddle and lifejacket) — $25/day or $100/week
14-foot fishing boat (with 15hp Yamaha engine) — $50/day or $300/week

Woodlands Resort enjoys a stunning natural setting in northern Wisconsin, complete with more than 200 feet of sandy shoreline on Plum Lake. Enjoy the privacy of the tall pines and the quiet atmosphere, while taking advantage of lakefront access for fishing, swimming, sunning and boating. We provide a private pier and onsite boat rentals, as well as a fish cleaning house and outdoor fire pits down by the water’s edge.
The Sayner and greater St. Germain, WI, area is a popular destination for kayaking, canoeing, fishing and all manner of water-based recreation and sports. The water is clear and gentle for swimming and wading, and the sandy beach area is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon with a picnic or a book. We do provide some life jackets with boat rentals, but we recommend bringing extra — especially if you have small children!
The Wisconsin Northwoods is an exciting place to visit year-round, with beautiful fall color and a vast network of well-groomed snowmobile trails. The Vilas County trail is accessible right from our beach on Plum Lake! Other local attractions include gocarts, rock climbing, minigolf and bumper boats at Elmer’s Fun Park, ATVs, kayaks and aerial tours at Northwoods Zip Line, and pristine golfing on the Plum Lake Golf Club.
You can also seek out the nightlife at the Lake of Torches Casino or pay a visit to the beloved Corner store for ice cream and bike rentals.

Rate details:
Peak season at The Loft runs Memorial Day through Labor day. Nightly rentals are not permitted during this time. Weekly rentals during peak season are $1,000 per week. During the off-season, (September through November), Nightly rates of $150.00 are available during this time with a minimum stay of three nights.
This cabin is not available from December through Memorial Day.
A deposit of $200.00 is required to reserve weekly rentals, or $75.00 for weekend stays.
The full balance is due upon arrival.

My family has been coming to plum lake since the mid 70's and started off at Wickwood on Hanson road. This is our first time staying here at The Woodlands and absolutely fell in love. We stayed in the Maple cabin and almost has the feel of Sunset. The 4th generation of my family now got the opportunity to fish the lake that my grandparents started off on where my Dad and I learned how to fish and now my kids have the same place where it all started. Woodlands Resort has been in our family for three generations, since my father purchased the grounds in 1983. My parents stayed at the resort every summer and loved spending time with the seasonal guests. Many of our renters have been visiting Woodlands for 50 years or more and have become close family friends.
In 2017, ownership of the resort passed to us, and we consider ourselves blessed to continue the legacy and tradition of Woodlands. During our tenure, we have updated the cabins with new cabinets and appliances, remodeled bathrooms and new beachfront amenities. We are in the process of expanding our service from seasonal rentals to a year-round vacation destination so our guests can experience everything the Northwoods has to offer.
