Birchwood Retreat is a haven of calm, situated on a private lot just the right distance from downtown St. Germain. This two-bedroom Wisconsin cabin rental sleeps six, just minutes from the local bakery, bait shop and flea market — with a close-up view of Finley Lake!
Finley Lake is a great place to spend your cabin vacation. With no public access, guests can enjoy a quiet, remote getaway apart from any crowding. You’ll have private frontage and a boat dock (great for fishing), as well as our 18-foot Palm Beach pontoon boat with a 50 hp motor.
Inside, Birchwood Retreat features a single-story living area with a fully equipped country kitchen, a cozy sitting room with an old-fashioned brick fireplace, and a dining area with seating for four. You’ll love the large windows, secluded natural view, and polished hardwood floors.
Sleeping arrangements: This Northwoods cabin has two private guest rooms, furnished with one queen-sized bed and one twin-sized bed in each.
Unique Features
Special features at Birchwood Retreat include covered parking in our two-car garage, an outdoor fire pit, an open-air deck with a picnic table, and a large grassy lawn that’s great for yard games. There is a horseshoe pit and a new swimming raft with a ladder to make the most of your good-weather days. Please make sure to request the pontoon in advance if you’d like it added to your rental!
Things To Do
Birchwood Retreat is open year-round, close to exciting activities for all seasons in and around St. Germain and Eagle River, WI. We especially love the view of the property in winter — and the entrance to a scenic 500-mile snowmobile trail system is just outside your door! The Bo-Boen trail system heads off in all directions from St. Germain. Plus, there’s nothing better than warming up next to the cabin’s wood-burning fireplace after a long day out in the snow.
This cabin is enough off-the-beaten-road that you’ll see plenty of wildlife wandering near the windows. If you sit quietly on the back deck, you might glimpse a deer, hear the call of the loons, and even catch sight of the bald eagles fishing in Finley Lake. You’re also just a few minutes’ drive from downtown St. Germain, where you can find unique local shops, restaurants, boat and equipment rentals, golf, go-karts and even horseback riding tours.

Weekly rentals at Birchwood Retreat run from Saturday to Saturday.
Check-in starts at 3:30 pm, with check-out scheduled for 8:30 am.
A deposit of one-third the weekly rent is due at the time of reservation.
Peak-season rentals require a four-night minimum stay.
Peak-season rates apply from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Off-season rates are available from Oct 10 to Dec 13, and from Mar 15 to April 30.
Listed rates do not include tax.
