The Pine Cone Cabin is one of two vacation homes located on the Sunset Pines property. Pine Cone Cabin is a newly constructed, fully wheelchair accessible cabin on a large, open, level lot with private frontage on Little St. Germain Lake. This comfortable, modern vacation rental faces west, bathing the space with warm, natural light in the afternoon and providing the perfect vantage point to watch the sun set over the water. Large windows in this single-story cottage overlook the bay and the yard, while dense woodland frames the property to the back and side of the house.
Inside, an open-concept living area includes a corner kitchen, fully equipped with cookware and modern appliances, as well as a low breakfast bar with three stools. The lounge area is furnished with a plush sofa, an armchair and a rough-hewn rocker, all gathered around a new wood-burning fireplace and a large, flat-screen TV. A cozy dining area features a table and chairs for six, with a full-wall of windows on one side. The main floor also offers access to a screened-in porch, with a picnic table and chairs, and an open-air patio with lounge chairs and a small bonfire grate. A level concrete path leads from the house to the accessible pier and a shallow swimming area.
Sleeping arrangements: Pine Cone Cabin has two private bedrooms on the main floor. Bedroom one is furnished with a queen-sized bed. This bedroom connects to the master bath, which is wheelchair accessible. Bedroom two has both a queen-sized bed and a twin-sized bed. There is also a queen-sized futon in the shared living area.
This lakeside cottage in the woods is furnished comfortably in a rustic style, with a knotted pine interior and log beams. The cabin shares acreage and frontage with the Sunset House, a large-group vacation rental with an additional four bedrooms and three baths. The two cabins may be rented as a package to cater to large get-togethers, multifamily vacations, reunions or other destination events. Together, Pine Cone Cabin and the Sunset House can accommodate up to 21 overnight guests. The cabins are close together but separated by mature pines for added privacy.
A sandy-bottomed swimming area, as well as a sand box, swing set and slide, make this spacious yard an ideal outlet for pent-up road trip energy. Each cabin is equipped with its own private pier.
Pine Cone Cabin’s beautiful, private spot on Little St. Germain makes it easy to make the most of the water. It’s short trip to the lake’s edge, where a firm, sandy bottom and virtual absence of weeds makes this clear, cool body of water the perfect place to while away hot summer afternoons. Little St. Germain covers 956 acres in northern Wisconsin, and its wide-open spaces make it a popular sporting lake. Boating and fishing are the go-to entertainment in St. Germain, where visitors will find plenty of rental opportunities for watercrafts and other outdoor adventure equipment, including tubes, wakeboards and skis. For those looking forward to spending a quiet morning or evening with a hook in the water, this lake is known to harbor bluegill largemouth bass, walleye, musky and pike.
This cabin getaway is located just a few minutes from downtown St. Germain, where visitors can enjoy a wide variety of local dinner venues, unique shops, manicured golf courses, zip line tours and go-cart tracks, not to mention miles of trails for hiking, biking and otherwise exploring the unforgettable wildlife of Wisconsin. The Heart of Vilas County Trail System offers 45 miles of paved, scenic trails that wind through wood and field and — in autumn — breathtaking fall color.
Like Pine Cone Cabin, the St. Germain area is a treasured vacation destination year-round, hundreds of miles of top-quality snowmobile, snowshoe and cross-country ski trails. it is also home to the Snowmobile Hall of Fame!
