Welcome to Athelstane Cottage! We hope you enjoy your stay and feel right at home in this cozy two-bedroom cabin. This rental has just enough room for a small group or family while keeping an intimate feeling. Your group will love the welcoming living room complete with a futon- and the kitchen stocked with appliances and cookware. In fact, with the two private bedrooms and sleeping arrangements in the living room, this cottage can sleep up to 9 guests.
Once you've had your fill of adventure in the Wisconsin wilderness- and there's plenty to be had!- you and your loved ones can watch a movie on the 43-inch smart TV. If that's not your cup of tea, you could unwind with a nice home-cooked meal and a hot beverage before bed in the fully stocked kitchen.
Once it's time to settle in for the night, you'll have no shortage of sleeping options to choose from. There are two private bedrooms in addition to the futon in the living room, meaning this rental can sleep 5-9 people comfortably.
You'll appreciate the plush beds and fresh linens after a long day of exploring Athelstane, and the included washer and dryer make cleaning clothes a breeze before you go home. After your vacation, you'll go home feeling refreshed and recharged from your cozy stay at Athelstane Cottage!
Athelstane Cottage is great for the outdoors-loving group! We are close to many places where you can enjoy activities such as boating, fishing, rafting, hiking, and more. We even have on-site access to miles of hiking trails and you can drive your ATV or snowmobile straight onto the trial from the cabin. In the summer you can enjoy many of the above activities, and in the winter you can go snowmobiling, ice fishing, or snowshoeing, which makes this a great rental year round!

There are plenty of ways to get out and explore while staying at our beautiful cabin, in addition to onsite access to outdoor activities. Near Athelstane, there is an abundance of waterfalls, including Long Slide Falls, Dave's Falls, and Bull Falls. All of these waterfalls are surrounded by beautiful hiking trails, so you can stretch your legs and keep your eyes out for local wildlife!
Some of the nearby parks include Peshtigo River State Forest, Governor Thompson State Park, and Twelve Foot Falls Park. Enjoy the natural beauty of these parks by fishing, hiking, or packing a picnic lunch and bird watching. No matter what, you're sure to have a good time.
If you want a break from the great outdoors, try learning about the history of Wisconsin at Crivitz Museum, or hit the green at Hunter's Glen Golf Club. There are also beautiful beaches at Lake Noquebay Park and Morgan County Park. Relax on the sand and enjoy the sounds of nature and the water, or play a game with friends and family!
Of course, no one could fault you if you want to rest while on vacation, and you could have a grand time even just staying in and watching a movie, playing cards with your loved ones, and enjoying time spent together. **Pets welcome, must be house trained (nonrefundable - $50 each per week, or $10 each per night, max 2 pets). Your dog(s) may not be left alone at any time. You are expected to take them with you on your outings or bring a portable kennel.
***Cancellation made a minimum of 15 days prior to check-in date will receive a refund less 5% processing fee. Less than 15 days and no shows are not eligible for reimbursement.
