The House that Jack Built is the perfect place to visit for a getaway in nature but with amenities that will make your stay feel just like you’re at home. With its wood paneling and full furnishings, it has the atmosphere of a cabin in the woods. But, visitors are also located within a resort where they have access to a restaurant, visitor office, and the feeling of civilization.

Inside the cabin, visitors will find a fully equipped kitchen that includes a coffee maker, microwave, and stove. Cooking can also be done on the gas grill outside. With access both to these options and the Lodge Bar and Grill - located very close to this cabin - visitors will have little reason to go far from home if they need something to eat.

There is a bathroom with a shower, as well as a cozy bedroom with a queen-sized bed, also with wood-paneled walls. Linens and towels are also provided, so there is no need to cram your suitcase when you head out the door to come see us! The vacation’s size and cozy atmosphere makes it ideal for a couple’s vacation, or single traveler.

Unique Features

A unique feature of this vacation home is the outdoor seating! Located right next to the gas grill, there is both an open front porch and a screened in one, both with deck chairs available. Visitors can have their choice of proximity to nature while sipping coffee in the morning or waiting for their food to finish cooking in the evening.

Things To Do

This vacation home is located within a resort, so you don’t have to leave the property to experience the outdoors! There are opportunities for swimming, fishing, and boating on the lake. However, outside of the resort, Hayward Lakes area also has a lot to offer for outdoor rec! Avid golfers or bikers will find plenty of amenities for them, as will lovers of motor sports and ATV.

Attractions include the Sawyer County Historical Museum, the Lumberjack World Championships, and a variety of outlets and restaurants. Check out Runamok rides to see about renting a canoe or Hayward Water Sports to purchase equipment.

For dining and drinks, we recommend the Whistle Punk, for great craft beer and coffee options. Frankie’s pizza, which has been in business for over 50 years, is a great place to check out some local cuisine.

We can’t wait to see you here!

Reviews

Stayed for 5 nights and had a great time!! The sites we had were a great size for our group and not far from the water. The owners were awesome too, my son kept Terry plenty busy with his fish questions. Marissa 'Jaskierny' Accola
The owners keep up the place beautifully. Everyone there is so friendly!! We had an awesome time!! Rae Ann Artman Elvin
Delicious food, fun hosts and the best log cabin atmosphere!! Lavonne McCallum Nedlose
Classic Northwoods setting with beautiful lodge and grounds! Michelle and Terry are the best! Jean Kempenich Wolfe
Had a great 4-night stay here. Site was large enough for our 36' 5th wheel and long bed truck, plus room for an EZ up and sitting around the fire. Had a few drinks at the lodge and Terry and Michelle were great hosts! Deb Sadler Bertling
Returned to Boulder Lodge this weekend for a couple night stay. Had a great time and great to see the place thriving under current ownership. They are doing an outstanding job! Mike Cummings
Michelle and Terry are wonderful hosts, make you feel welcome immediately. The Lodge, on Ghost Lake has live music every Friday night with a fun bar menu and great drinks. Decor is warm and inviting.
Highly recommend it! Elayne Dubin
