Our rental is near many area lakes and Lake Nebagamon, and the mouth of the Brule on the sandy shore of Lake Superior.
Wrap around deck and an area for alfresco dining, overlooking the river, just 50' away. Master suite on the first floor, two bedrooms and full bath are on the lower floor. Lower level sleeps 4-5 with a double bed and a single in one bedroom, a sink area, a second bedroom with two single beds. Step out the back door: walk, ski, or snow shoe on one of the many hiking trails: canoes, kayak.
Explore the Brule, a famous spring-fed trout stream flowing north from Upper St. Croix Lake at the continental divide into Lake Superior. Take a canoe or kayak from the dock, up or down the gentle flowing river. Ask us about the river "trip down from Stones," past "Cedar Island" - a turn of the century fishing camp visited by several past presidents. We had the most amazing time this week and can't thank-you enough for giving us the opportunity to rent this beautiful lodge. We managed to catch a 29" Rainbow and enjoyed many river trips and campfires. We couldn't get enough of the extraordinary historical books throughout the cabin-pure heaven.... My wife loved the cabin......so did the rest of us! …Fishing was good......caught Brook, Browns and some Rainbows. Only a couple of keepers but tons of fun. One of the best catches was right in front of the dock.
What a wonderful spot! I had an enjoyable weekend, the weather was less than good, but the fishing was amazing. Your place is just fantastic, and Ron was very nice. I look forward to my second visit in a month. Thanks for everything.
