Located right on the lake, between Rome and Nekoosa, Wisconsin, Cindy’s Cozy Cottage (also called Grandma's cottage) is the perfect family and friend getaway. You have a whole 3 acres to yourself, overlooking the Twin lakes from the outdoor patio. Further, you don’t have to worry about noisy boats zooming by and splashing waves, as it is a no-wake zone.
Additionally, this vacation rental includes a fully-stocked kitchen, allowing you to make all of your favorite home-cooked meals. After a nice dinner with the family, you can relax by the fireplace and watch a movie on one of the five Smart TVs that comes with a Roku. Or, you can choose from one of the many board games provided and have a competitive game night. Finally, you won’t have to worry about over-packing for your stay, as there is an in-unit washer and dryer.
This traditional and peaceful cabin in the woods contains a total of four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Between all four bedrooms, with there being one master, there are 10 beds. Further, there are two living room spaces, the first with one couch and the second with two, thus, you can sleep 10 guests in this spacious home!
There are truly endless unique features that come with Cindy’s Cozy Cottage, many of which can be found outside of the home. This lodge has a wide private patio that wraps around the entire back side and comes with plenty of furniture so you can enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the sunrise, or a full meal with friends. Further, the private backyard contains a fire pit, BBQ grill, and even a hammock. Last but not least, if you are looking to get some light exercise in, then there are a few kayaks for your choosing to take out onto the water. Guests can also enjoy a nearby beach!
Although Rome and Nekoosa may not be the most well-known towns in Wisconsin, this doesn’t mean that it doesn’t have plenty of unique things to offer. This is the perfect destination if you are looking for a more recluse, relaxing vacation with a variety of outdoors activities.
If you are a golf fanatic, then you won’t be disappointed by the Lake Arrowhead Golf Course. This award-winning course is stretched across a 300 acre lake and is home to about 2,000 members. There is a wide variety of membership options, but you can also enjoy the beauty of the course if you are a non-member.
Looking for some adventure? Then we highly recommend that you visit the Dyracuse recreational park. This park is located on 700 + acres of land and provides a multitude of sand tracks and trails for motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, or three-wheelers.
If you are hoping to really relax during your time at the cottage, then there is the Lester Public Library of Rome nearby. With a perfect summer romance by the lake, what more could you ask for?

Hi there! Michelle and I have been married for almost 13 years, and we're thrilled to be hosting our first vacation rental! Cindy's cottage is the perfect place for us to do so. Cindy is the grandmother of our three amazing children, and we've already made so many wonderful memories in her lovely cottage, which she just bought last summer. Cindy recently gave us the go-ahead to share her amazing cottage with guests, and we can't wait to let you experience the peace and memories that you'll find there.
Michelle and I live about 90 minutes away, but we have a handyman in the area who can help with any repairs or maintenance that may be needed. We'll also be available by phone 24/7 if you have any questions or concerns during your stay.
