Cave Point Retreat is a spacious, renovated, lakefront A-Frame that sits right on Lake Michigan in Door County, Wisconsin. During the warm summer months, the cottage is available to reserve for a minimum of 7 nights and 4 nights during the rest of the year. Staying at this vacation rental, you have easy access to all of the peninsula communities including Egg Harbor, Jacksonport, Sturgeon Bay, Fish Creek, Ephraim and Sister Bay.
This home has a total of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and can sleep between 4-8 guests. The first bedroom is a large, lofted, master suite with a king size bed and an ensuite bathroom. This lofted bedroom includes a comfortable seating area that faces the glimmering, blue lake. The second and third bedrooms can be found on the first floor, both queen size beds, and share a full bathroom.
The living room has a cozy wood-burning fireplace, a Smart TV, and plenty of seating. The kitchen is fully equipped including a coffee/wine bar and everything you need to make and serve meals.
The tall, A-frame cabin sits on a quiet waterfront road and wooded area. Cave Point Retreat has many stunning features that cannot be found in every vacation home in Door County. One of these features being the large, open, outdoor deck right off of the living room. This deck is furnished beautifully with a dining table, lounging chairs, and a grill. Right off the patio, is a large grassy area equipped with a fire pit and seating for 8.
If you ever find yourself wanting to spend some time in town, the Cave Point Retreat is 15 minutes from Sturgeon Bay, where there are plenty of activities for all ages! Any season you choose to escape to this beautiful vacation home, there is always going to be plenty of indoor or outdoor tourist spots to visit.
For any visitors looking to learn some local history, the Heritage Village at Big Creek is a perfect place. Made up of nine different buildings that play key roles in Sturgeon Bay’s history, there is a lot to learn. To take advantage of this experience, many recommend that visitors sign up for private tours or attend special events with live performances, to really discover all there is about the northern Wisconsin region.
Miss the gym? Don’t you worry because CrossFit Armati is one of the better CrossFit facilities in Wisconsin, and will give you the workout of a lifetime! Not only does the facility offer various programs to improve your strength such as martial art programs, but there are also programs to improve your overall life skills such as combat and rescue-focused programs.
Finally, one of the favorite times of the year for the locals and tourists is the Door County Lighthouse Festival, which is held in the spring and the fall. These festivals are truly magnificent and display some of the county’s most celebrated lighthouses.

By Jamie S – This was the perfect place for our girls to get away. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Great location, secluded for privacy. We visited in the fall but took advantage of the fire pit, grill. Perfect location for watching the sunrise.

I’m usually a little iffy staying places and checking every nook and cranny for cleanliness and end up cleaning before I settle in, but it was so clean that I didn’t have to do a thing and settled right in! I loved the decor and everything about the home! Kris was very responsive and I loved the detailed information she sent along with recommendations for places to go! Highly recommend without a doubt! Thank you for the wonderful memories we were able to make!
By Dione L – We enjoyed our stay the week between Christmas and NYE. Our daughters 8 & 11 enjoyed playing on the shoreline even though it was only 20-30 degrees. The linens were high end and as previously noted the kitchen was well stocked with the exception of a missing wine opener. The neighbors were nice enough to uncork us the first night so we wouldn’t have to venture out. The property is very close to Cave Point which was beautiful to see.
