Dunham Lake Cabin — together with it’s charming guest house by the lake — offers comfortable accommodations for eight, with four total bedrooms and one shared bath.

This traditional Northwoods cabin rental occupies 100 feet of private lakefront on scenic Dunham Lake — the perfect location for swimming, boating and year-round fishing.

This cabin and guest house are nestled between tall white pines near the water’s edge, with a lakeview deck, a fire pit, a porch swing, a hammock and plenty of Adirondack lounge chairs.

Inside, the main house features a beautiful natural cedar interior with hardwood floors, a stone-surround fireplace, and large windows that fill the living spaces with sunlight.

This pet-friendly lake house in Siren, Wisconsin, has an open floor plan with a furnished kitchen, dining room and sitting area. Three private bedrooms (two in the main house) are equipped with queen-sized beds, while the fourth (also in the guest cottage) has a set of twin bunk beds.

Unique Features

Dunham Lake Cabin creates an away-from-it-all vacation atmosphere reminiscent of On Golden Pond. The cabin and its waterfront setting are gorgeous and peaceful, with loons to sing you to sleep at night. You’ll love the authentic Norwegian craftsmanship and the unbeatable views.

We offer onsite pontoon rentals for an additional $700/week, plus a gas charge ($25) and 5.5-percent taxes. Please let us know during booking so we can have it ready for you.

Things To Do

Take a swim right off the end of our private dock! Dunham Lake is full of fresh, clear spring-fed water that is ideal for swimming in summer. It’s also a great place for boating (sailing, jet-skiing, water skiing) and fishing, with a wide variety of different species. Guests can bring their own watercraft and access a public boat launch just down the road.

Our cabin and guest house are roughly five miles from the small town of Siren, where you can find unique shops, mini-golf, ice cream, restaurants, and antiques. There are nice hiking and biking trails in the area as well. Plus, it’s just an hour and a half from Minneapolis.

Reviews

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on the 4th of July. The cabin was very clean and homey inside. Loved sitting on the swing taking in the beautiful view of the lake.
Perfect getaway for our 1st anniversary! The lake is beautiful and quiet without a lot of speed boats. Most others on the lake putted around slowly on pontoons. Cabin is well maintained and furnished with everything we needed. It was a big plus that we could bring our 2 dogs. Louie greeted us when we arrived. He gave us info on great places to visit in nearby towns. Very good host! We will be back again next year!
Couldn’t be happier with this place, truly a gem of the Northwoods! Owner was already there when we arrived and made the check in process extremely easy. The place was larger than I expected and very clean with a nice Northwoods charm. Lake was the perfect size, clean and with good fishing from bluegills to bass. Owner was extremely responsive and even came out promptly when we had some difficulties getting the pontoon going. Would recommend this place for anyone whether it be a long weekend or a week stint!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed this cabin! It was quaint and perfect for our family of five (plus our little dog). We went for peaceful walks every morning and enjoyed bonfires at night. We also got a lot of exercise using the steps to the water. If you have trouble with steps, this cabin is not for you! It appeared that some wood boards were recently replaced on the steps and dock. If I had to give one critique, it would be to replace a few more boards as they were quite weathered. Louie had a very nice pontoon we were able to rent. The weather was great so we were able to make good use of it. I appreciated Louie personally meeting us to check-in at the property and show us around. The cabin was very clean and it was obvious that he takes great care of it. Thanks for a wonderful getaway!
This cabin was great for two couples for a weekend trip. The cabin is just as I like it with the knotty pine floors and walls, old stone fireplace and the real cabin feel. The kitchen, dining and living room areas were all open which was nice. Lots of windows to look out towards the lake. There's no AC but the cabin is always shaded under the pine trees, so it didn't get hot at all, plenty of fans in the cabin to help. The bathroom was nice, and the shower was big which is a plus. We loved the lake - it is nice and small and quiet, unlike other lakes that have tons of water ski boats and jet skis zooming all over making noise and waves. We caught lots of fish pretty much everywhere we fished, even in front of the dock. Lots of sunfish, some crappies and bass too. The only thing we wished was different was the stairs up and down to the lake/dock. But that's just the way it is. Overall we enjoyed the cabin and lake very much!
We had a terrific time at Dunham lake. The cabin is quaint, clean, and well appointed. It advertises well and meets those expectations. Louie is super responsive and answers his phone for any questions. Loved the location - very quiet lake and close to town. Would rent it again in a heartbeat.
This cabin was perfect for our family vacation. Our children and grandson stayed with us and everyone had an amazing time! The cabin looks just like the pictures. Even though the lake is small, it's beautiful! We were able to canoe around the lake, fish from the dock and just enjoy the serenity of the place. Louie is a wonderful host...thank you!
Our family had a fun and relaxing time! Lake is small and private but spacious enough to enjoy boating. The cabin is very well kept and Louie was great to work with!

About the Owner/Manager

My name is R. Louie Austin. I purchased Dunham Lake Cabin in 2004, after sorting through more than 200 other properties in the area to find the perfect setting. With Dunham Lake Cabin, it was love at first site. I love to share my little piece of heaven in northern Wisconsin with two Jack Russell Terriers (Daisy and Lucky), who always run right to the water for a swim in the lake upon arriving. They can’t wait to share this unique Northwoods vacation experience with you!
