Cabin #4 is a deluxe lakeside cottage on a wooded lot with a stone path leading from the front door down to the lakeshore. The cabin is cradled between aged conifers, well-spaced to let in the natural light and to open lines of sight from the cabin’s windows to the water. A small open-air porch to the front of the house and set with deck chairs serves as a quiet, private place to enjoy the natural setting, while a 3 season porch serves as a second living area, with an additional dining space and lounge furniture.
The main living space is an open-concept floorplan furnished in warm, knotted pine and heated by a gas fireplace and electric heat.. Cabin #4 features one full bath with a tub and one with a stand-up shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with dinnerware, bakeware, small appliances and a built-in dishwasher. The living space also features a flat-screen satellite TV and DVD player.
Sleeping Arrangements: Four bedrooms on this single-floor cabin offer comfortable sleeping space for up to six guests. The first bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed, the second with a full-sized bed, and the final two with a pair of twin-sized beds each. All bedrooms have fans provided.
Cabin #4’s large, gently sloping lot offers plenty of room for guests parking. Guests can cook out next to the lake on a provided charcoal grill, or make use of a private pier for swimming and fishing. A 14-foot aluminum fishing boat is available upon request, along with free access to the resort’s private boat launch.
Cabin #4 offers immediate access to Fishtrap Lake, a 329-acre, natural body of water that is home to pan fish, large and smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, and most notably Musky — in fact, the greater Boulder Junction area, with its collection of lakes, waterways and streams has been awarded the trademark of MUSKY CAPITAL OF THE WORLD by the U.S Patent Office.
Autumn is an especially beautiful season in Boulder Junction, and the Northwoods fall color crowds around the lake offering visitors spectacular views. Ice fishing is a popular cold-weather activity on Fishtrap Lake, and equipment can be rented or bought in a myriad of local sporting goods shops. Within an hour’s drive, guests will also find fish hatcheries, cranberry bogs, horseback guided riding tours, amusement parks and museums.
Things to Remember: Guests will need to provide soap, towels and paper goods.
