This lakefront cottage on 540-acre Lost Lake has its own sandy beach perfect for family water activities. A grassy level area from the home’s deck with patio furniture meanders down to the private pier and contains a fire pit and picnic table for outdoor activities under the stars. This is the perfect place to spot bald eagles hunting over the lake or whitetail deer walking through the woods. Lost Lake is also known for its great fishing.
Abundant light enters the two sets of sliding doors exiting off the living room onto the deck. The interior’s cathedral ceilings, wood paneling and beams, stonework, comfortable couches, and woodstove in the living room create a relaxing place to unwind after a day of swimming, fishing, snowmobiling, or skiing. Watch your favorite TV shows on the large cable-connected TV. Pine log furnishing and rustic decor completes the home’s Northwoods feel.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator, stove, microwave, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, toast, pots and pans, silverware, plates, and cooking utensils. Linens are provided. The dinning room table seats 6 with great views of the lake.
Sleeping Arrangements: Bedroom 1 - queen bed; Bedroom 2 - twin beds; Futon in living room.
Bring your own boat and launch it at the public boat launch. There is a boat hoist next to the private pier for your use. Use the vacation home’s paddleboat for a quiet evening cruise along the shoreline and watch for wildlife. You can also rent an outboard motor, fishing boat, pontoon, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards through Hiller Vacation Homes.
The cottage’s grassy lawn area down to the lake with its grill and picnic table offers a great spot for meals or your family games such as frisbee, badminton, bocce ball or croquet. How about toasting some marshmallows over the fire pit for s’mores!
With a lake full of muskie, northern, bass, walleye, and panfish, you’ll have to bring along your fishing gear and try casting off the pier. You are sure to get land a few prized catches.
Planning a winter getaway? The snowmobile trail across Lost Lake takes off right from this vacation home property. It connects up with over a hundred miles of trails traversing though lovely northern Wisconsin. You can also cross-county ski or snowshoe along marked trails on the property.
