Things To Do

Stick around and relax at the resort - The fishing is great up here on the Buckatabon Lakes in Vilas County! Panfish (Abundant); Musky (Common); Largemouth Bass (Common); Northern Pike (Common); Walleye (Common); Smallmouth Bass (Present). The public boat landing on Upper Buckatabon Lake - together, both lakes give anglers 870 acres of water to work with.

Explore Conover, Eagle River and Land O’ Lakes. Conover is a birding and wildlife destination for photographers: pileated woodpeckers, loons, barred owls, great blue herons, eagles and osprey. Eagle River is the most recognized and visited town in Vilas County: The World’s Largest Chain of Freshwater Lakes, the 28 lake Eagle River – Three Lakes Chain of Lakes famous for fishing. Land O’ Lakes tucks up tight to the Michigan’s Upper Peninsula - we call it Adventure Peninsula: Bike, hike and paddle in the Sylvania Wilderness and visit Bond Falls.

Reviews

Great place to spend the weekend! Cabins are very well cared for and cozy! I look forward to going back again sometime! Deb Boelter
Best resort for family vacation tradition in the North Woods! Clean, comfy cabins, great owners, beach and lake with swimming/fishing/boating fun in the sun! Amazing star-filled night skies, the list goes on, as do the memories. Been staying here my whole life.. now 37 years and 3 owners later, I continue the tradition with my daughter. Jon Richter
This past weekend was my third visit to this fabulous getaway. Jay and Sue Krull are wonderful hosts. The cabin was spacious, clean and up-to-date. Whatever the season, this is the place to be in the north woods. Dan Mauel
We just spent the most beautiful winter weekend at Deer Path Resort. Fun winter activities happening in the area and our hosts were perfect. The cabin was warm and cozy with a roaring fire and gorgeous views. We highly recommend Deer Path Resort and can’t wait to stay in the Summer and Fall. Ruth Sullivan Hoffman
Could not have had a better experience! The cabin was perfect, the location is perfect, and our hosts, Sue and Jay were amazing. I’m certain we will be back! Thanks for everything ~ Paul (Belly) and Hannah. Hannah Flanagan
The best resort in the north woods. Would never even think of going to a different place from the owners to the people you meet during the week there your friends for life it's like there all your family now . You don't meet people like that at home. Oh ya and the resort is AWESOME if you die and go to heaven it's like walking through the gates of Deer Path. Tony St John
Camp fires, boating, swimming, fishing, 4-wheeling or just kicking your feet back in the North woods w family and friends! Can’t beat the action @ Deer Path Resort! Great people! Great place! Jordan Fischer
