Unique Features

Krull’s Deer Path Resort has 11 cabin rentals, so if your family getaway turns into a family reunion in “Northwoods Country” you can rent neighboring cabins.

Chances are some of your friends or family will want to use the extensive trail systems in the Northwoods. Locals TIP: The Spectacle Lake-Kentuck Lake Trail offers 2.5 miles of flat land good for all ages. The more extensive Snipe Lake and Ewald Lake trail systems will challenge experienced hikers.

Things To Do

Our lakefront resort is nestled amidst the natural beauty of our lakes and forests. Upper Buckatabon Lake is 493 acres and Lower Buckatabon Lake is 378 acres. Our northern Wisconsin resort is parked right between them on Upper Buckatabon Lake - that’s a lot of clear water and fishing shoreline right out your front door. “Upper” is prime musky waters and has a public boat landing! These lakes produce year round crappies, bluegills and walleye - quite active and fun lakes to fish. Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass and Northern Pike can be boated too.

We encourage you to wander off the beaten path and really enjoy the fresh air, peacefulness, and abundant wildlife. Go geocaching, this real-world outdoor treasure hunt. In addition to suning & swimming at our wonderful resort beach, you can hunt for other area beaches: Hunter Lake Park & Swim Area and Torch Lake Park & Swim Area both offer boating and fishing opportunities too.

Things to remember: Charcoal, paper towels, bath and beach towels, kitchen towels, etc.

Reviews

Best resort for family vacation tradition in the North Woods! Clean, comfy cabins, great owners, beach and lake with swimming/fishing/boating fun in the sun! Amazing star-filled night skies, the list goes on, as do the memories. Been staying here my whole life.. now 37 years and 3 owners later, I continue the tradition with my daughter. Jon Richter
This past weekend was my third visit to this fabulous getaway. Jay and Sue Krull are wonderful hosts. The cabin was spacious, clean and up-to-date. Whatever the season, this is the place to be in the north woods. Dan Mauel
We just spent the most beautiful winter weekend at Deer Path Resort. Fun winter activities happening in the area and our hosts were perfect. The cabin was warm and cozy with a roaring fire and gorgeous views. We highly recommend Deer Path Resort and can’t wait to stay in the Summer and Fall. Ruth Sullivan Hoffman
Could not have had a better experience! The cabin was perfect, the location is perfect, and our hosts, Sue and Jay were amazing. I’m certain we will be back! Thanks for everything ~ Paul (Belly) and Hannah. Hannah Flanagan
The best resort in the north woods. Would never even think of going to a different place from the owners to the people you meet during the week there your friends for life it's like there all your family now . You don't meet people like that at home. Oh ya and the resort is AWESOME if you die and go to heaven it's like walking through the gates of Deer Path. Tony St John
Camp fires, boating, swimming, fishing, 4-wheeling or just kicking your feet back in the North woods w family and friends! Can’t beat the action @ Deer Path Resort! Great people! Great place! Jordan Fischer
The nicest resort I have stayed at in the North Woods. Spacious, clean and comfortable cabins; everything you need. Very nice and attentive new owners. Already planning our next visit. I highly recommend this resort. Dan Mauel
Best family resort. Great owners, wonderful sandy beach and clean modern cabins. Wouldn't go there for 30 years in a row if this wasn't the best family vacation. Carol Smith
