WANT TO BE CLOSE TO THE WATER? Our Musky Hut cabin is a few steps from Upper Buckatabon Lake and Lower Buckatabon Lake - Our Krull’s Deer Path Resort is actually located near the narrows between Upper and Lower Buckatabon and both lakes offer excellent Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye fishing. If you are coming up to musky fishing, booking the Musky Hut might just tip the carma-scale in your favor.

For 40 years, this great family resort has been creating vacation memories - kids and adults will always remember the playground, sandy swim beach, gathering around the outdoor fire rings and picnic areas. During your stay, look for soaring bald eagles, an osprey, or listen for the call of a loon.

We have many of your Vilas County cabin amenities covered too: Weber grill, fish cleaning station, bed linens, dish soap, trash bags, toilet paper, coffee filters. Sleeping arrangement: 1 Full bed and 2 Twin beds.

Unique Features

If the Musky Hut cabin is not quite perfect enough, make sure you see all 11 of our resort cabins and vacation homes. All are completely furnished, clean & comfortable. Once word gets out that you’re planning a trip Up North, your group of 4 might grow. Our lakefront resort is perfectly set up to accommodate larger groups in neighboring cabins.

See unique shows like the Chain Skimmers Water Ski Show! Take an afternoon to boat or drive along the World’s Largest Chain of Freshwater Lakes: the 28-lake Eagle River – Three Lakes Chain of Lakes! Did you know Wisconsin means “gathering place of waters”? No wonder! Northern Wisconsin is famous for its supper clubs, dining on the water, breweries and wineries, coffee shops and a fish fry or two. Make the Musky Hut at Krull’s Deer Path Resort your annual basecamp!

Things To Do

You might end up staying, playing, boating and fishing right here. Your lakeside Musky Hut cabin comes with one 14’ fishing boat, dock space (if you decide to bring your own boat), a paddle boat, kayaks, and canoe. There are 17 wooded acres to play in too. Ask us about renting a pontoon boat with the family and cruising 871 acres of Buckatabon water.

Don’t let a little cold and snow keep you from visiting the northwoods. Whether you are a first-timer or a seasoned rider, getting on the professionally groomed snowmobile trails is easy - The snowmobile trail comes directly through Krull’s Deer Path Resort! Many of these trails are used as ATV/UTV, biking and hiking trails spring through fall.

Outdoor enthusiasts will definitely enjoy a variety of outdoor recreation near Conover! Surrounding lakes and lush picturesque forests reach out in all directions plus the Wisconsin-Michigan border is just 9 miles north. Great place to spend the weekend! Cabins are very well cared for and cozy! I look forward to going back again sometime! Deb Boelter
Best resort for family vacation tradition in the North Woods! Clean, comfy cabins, great owners, beach and lake with swimming/fishing/boating fun in the sun! Amazing star-filled night skies, the list goes on, as do the memories. Been staying here my whole life.. now 37 years and 3 owners later, I continue the tradition with my daughter. Jon Richter
This past weekend was my third visit to this fabulous getaway. Jay and Sue Krull are wonderful hosts. The cabin was spacious, clean and up-to-date. Whatever the season, this is the place to be in the north woods. Dan Mauel
We just spent the most beautiful winter weekend at Deer Path Resort. Fun winter activities happening in the area and our hosts were perfect. The cabin was warm and cozy with a roaring fire and gorgeous views. We highly recommend Deer Path Resort and can’t wait to stay in the Summer and Fall. Ruth Sullivan Hoffman
Could not have had a better experience! The cabin was perfect, the location is perfect, and our hosts, Sue and Jay were amazing. I’m certain we will be back! Thanks for everything ~ Paul (Belly) and Hannah. Hannah Flanagan
The best resort in the north woods. Would never even think of going to a different place from the owners to the people you meet during the week there your friends for life it's like there all your family now . You don't meet people like that at home. Oh ya and the resort is AWESOME if you die and go to heaven it's like walking through the gates of Deer Path. Tony St John
