Beaver Bay Lodge is a secluded waterfront vacation home located on the southern shore of Nelson Lake. This modern and comfortable 2,200-square-foot split level can accommodate up to 10 guests, with three private bedrooms, two baths, and a recreation room with pool table.
From its quiet lookout point on Beaver Bay, this northern lodge has a beautiful view of the water and surrounding woodland. A three-season porch on the ground floor is perfect for evening meals or card games, while an upper level balcony is the perfect place to soak up the sun.
The grassy lawn slopes gently to a private dock and a provided rowboat which makes it easy to get out early and get in some fishing. There is plenty of room for parking if you are traveling with friends or bringing your own watercraft. You’ll love this peaceful, off-the-beaten-track cabin!
Sleeping arrangements: One bedroom on the main floor is furnished with a queen-sized bed. This room has a full bath nearby, and is close to the kitchen, dining room and main living room.There is also a futon in the common area. On the lower level, Two guest rooms are furnished with a queen bed and a double bed. These are close to a second full bath and a family room with pool table and futon sleeper sofas.
Beaver Bay Lodge enjoys 218 feet of level, private frontage on Nelson Lake! We make the most of the scenery and relaxing waterfront atmosphere with a furnished three-season porch, a lakeside deck and gas grill, an outdoor fire pit near the water, and a private boat dock and row boat to use while you stay with us. This home also welcomes well-behaved dogs for a separate fee— please have pets approved prior to booking!
NOTE: This home is professionally cleaned between each guest stay and has implemented additional sanitation measures in light of new COVID-19 guidelines.
Nelson Lake is a great place to getaway year round, with 2,503 acres of open water and a thriving population of walleye, pan fish, large and smallmouth bass, and northern pike.
Beaver Bay serves as a quiet cove connecting our Lodge to Nelson Lake. The bay has calm, mostly shallow waters and lovely scenery, making it a great place for canoeing and kayaking. It also offers easy access for motorboats to the larger lake, just 100 yards out from the dock.
During the blustery winter months of northern Wisconsin, Beaver Bay Lodge offers easy access to ATV and snowmobile trails. ATVs and snowmobiles can also be used to access the best ice fishing on Nelson Lake!

Seasons - From Mid June through July and August we only accept bookings for 7 night minimums from Saturday To Saturday.
Birkie Weekend requires a 4-night minimum
The rest of the year is a 3 night minimum.
The minimum age of the primary renter is 25 years.
Fireworks are not permitted on the property at any time.
Cancellations made 30 days prior to the arrival date will receive a full refund.
Our family was thrilled to have had the chance to stay at Beaver Bay Lodge. We all were looking forward to the nostalgia of returning to Hayward together and this cabin was more than we ever expected. The place was perfect, clean, well stocked with everything we needed, and the quiet setting could not have been better. We are already planning next year’s trip and can’t wait to go back.
It was very charming. The kitchen was well stocked, with lots of cookware and good cutting boards and knives. Loved that they had a few spices in addition to salt and pepper. A couple of the beds were soft (which is not my preference) but fine for our stay. The price was a great value, so you can’t expect Hilton quality. The road to the house is not paved and there were some big ruts that a non-SUV might bottom out on. It was a great location with teens who explored the cove on kayaks and SUPs.
The Lodge was perfect in every way!!!
Great location to explore the lakes of Hayward, Wisconsin! The privacy aspect was satisfactory and the condition of lodging was quite acceptable. We hope to return.
