Boating enthusiasts will find few people on the 411 lakes within the Forest. Exploring from the cabin is easy: The Chequamegon/Nicolet National Forest and the Ashland Forest are located in the headwaters of the Chippewa River - formed by ice age glaciers.
Popular attractions include the beautiful Marion Park - the Park Pavilion here is on the National Resister of Historic places because of its architectural uniqueness. We recommend the Glidden History museum too. If you’re coming up north for Labor Day - the Glidden Community Fair is celebrated then. Some of the best and most scenic golf courses are nearby.
