Our Birch Island Lake Home is on an island! But you can still drive to it thanks to the causeway /dirt road that connects the island to the mainland. Guest will have their own private peninsula, sugar sand beach and swimming area -we even have 2 outdoor showers to rinse off. Canoe, swim and fish all day then relax in the spacious three season screened porch and make plans for the rest of your vacation. Get ready for a true North Woods experience! No manicured lawn here.
Full log lodge has whole pine logs spanning the ceiling, a massive field stone fireplace, and a Kitchen & Great Room that will impress you. A big lodge needs lots of space for parking - the huge garage has plenty of covered parking.
Sleeping arrangement: Bedroom 1 has 1 king bed. Bedroom 2 has 1 queen bed. Bedroom 3 has 1 queen bed. Bedroom 4 has 1 queen bed. Bedroom 5 has 1 queen bed. The Common spaces share 2 sofa beds, plus there are 2 floor mattresses for extra guests. 3 bathrooms, one on each floor.
(We can't guarantee the lake level and the amount of sand beach that will be there when you arrive however the average water level on the lake provides a beautiful sand beach area on the peninsula!)

If you’re visiting during the off-season, you can still enjoy a swim - Just a couple miles away is an indoor swimming pool, sauna, and workout room. Use the tennis courts, basketball court, shuffleboard court, playground.
Families and groups who love to go ATVing can’t enough of the trails through 100+ year old oak and pine trees - the trailhead is 2 miles from our Up North log lodge. We roll out the white carpet for snowmobilers -- you can access the main trail on the lake which runs in front of our Burnett County log lodge. What else draws so many vacationers to the Spooner area? The St. Croix National Scenic Riverway; St. Croix Casino Danbury; Gandy Dancer Trail (hiking & biking & snowmobiling); the finest cheese, wines and more!
