Clear Water Cottage is a two-story modern cabin set on a large, private lot with ample shade from mature trees and a clear view of Round Lake. This homey vacation rental’s knotted pine interior paneling and a multitude of large windows give it an airy, indoor-outdoor feel, with all the warmth and comfort of home. The main living area features an open-concept floor plan with a fully equipped modern kitchen that wraps around a breakfast bar made from reclaimed wood and two counter-height stools.
To one side of the kitchen, guests will find a square table set for six alongside a large picture window with a telescope. To the other side of the kitchen, a lounge area is furnished with a sofa and reading chairs and a flat-screen TV. On the lower level, a large, open recreation area provides guests with a second TV and lounge furniture and a wood-burning stove. A three-season porch on the ground level contains a reading chair and a card table, while an upper-story open-air balcony is set with an outdoor dining table. Both decks have a beautiful view of the lake and grounds.
Sleeping Arrangements: Clear Water Cottage offers two private bedrooms, both equipped with a queen-sized bed. A set of twin-sized bunk beds and a full-sized futon in the recreation room provide additional sleeping accommodations.
NOTE: Towels are not provided at this property.
Clear Water Cottage has a large, paved drive to the front of the house, with plenty of room to park boats and RVs or for children to ride bikes. On the lake-facing side, the grassy lawn slopes steeply down to the lake, with a wooden staircase set into the hill for easy access.
This rental includes the use of a private dock and boat lift. Guests will also enjoy a stone fire pit set into the ground near the shore.
The dock at Clear Water Cottage ventures out from the south shore of Round Lake. Round Lake covers 3,294 acres with crystal-clear water, and with a maximum depth of 74 feet, this natural body of water is great for game fishing, and is a known source of musky, pan fish, walleye, pike and bass.
Round Lake is also great for water sports and for swimming from the 100-foot private, sandy shoreline at Clear Water Cottage. There is a great selection of local taverns and restaurants surrounding Round Lake, and many of them are situated near the shore and accessible by boat. Guests can take the provided 16-foot fishing boat out for a spin, dock it at a delicious local restaurant, and spend the evening dining and listening to live music.
Clear Water Cottage is located just minutes from downtown Hayward, where visitors will find a charming main street with unique shops, museums, mini-golf, go-cart racing and casinos. Visitors may also wish to explore the Chequamegon Nicolet National Forest, which envelops the Hayward area, providing access to year-round natures trails and wildlife sightings.

Nightly rates at Clear Water Cottage $250 per night, with a three-night minimum stay during the off season.
During peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), Clear Water Cottage rents on a weekly-only basis. Weekly rentals run Saturday to Saturday.
Sales tax of 9.5 percent will be added to all rental rates, along with a $79.13 booking fee (includes tax).
A refundable damage deposit of half the rent is required on the day of arrival.
