Located on the south shoreline of Lac Courte Oreilles in Musky Bay, this is a perfect place to launch your hunt for musky, walleye and smallmouths. Der Lach Haus has great views of the lake with moderate elevation down to a level shoreline where you can spend endless hours enjoying the sun, sand and water. A fire pit is located near the shoreline where you will find great swimming. Der Lach Haus also provides a large screen porch that is nice for the occasional buggy night to relax and enjoy your favorite cocktail. The interior has plenty of space with a capacity of up to 8 people and all the comforts of home including WIFI, central air and washer/dryer. Cooking at the cabin is easy and we’ve thought of everything you’ll need to impress family and friends: Dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, crock pot, many cooking essentials. As you can see by the pictures, the Haus interior has plenty of space, a wall of windows facing the lake and a huge stone fireplace. Sleeping arrangement: 1 King bed, 2 Queen beds, 1 Twin bed. All bedrooms have lake views! You will find ATV, cross country ski and mountain bike trails within a 20 minute drive. The snowmobile trail is accessed via the lake.
NOTE: Towels are not provided at this property.
Guests (and their dogs) love our sandy shoreline on 5139 acre Lac Courte Oreilles. Anglers love the variety of fish - Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye - plan on a fish fry or two. It’s time to enjoy the tranquility of the lakes and woods.
For a unique and nature-filled car ride, head to Rustic Road #71. See how many woodland creatures you can spot as you skirt the shore of Stone Lake.
Cabin time in Saywer County means endless hours enjoying the summer sun, sand and water. It also includes lots of time on the water - bring your boat and use the public boat landings, or ask us about boat rentals. Since you book directly with us at Property Management of Hayward, we can help plan a great Up North vacation. Think of us as your local tour guide :)
Spend some time in the great outdoors during all 4 seasons! Two of our favorite trails are: The Stone Lake Wetland Park hiking trail has a 600 foot boardwalk, covered walking bridge and gazebo overlooking Stone Lake - a scenic upper ridge walking trail. If you enjoy winter in Wisconsin, then the groomed xc skiing and snowshoeing trail at Green Lake - Sis will thrill as you wind 3.5 miles through the woods along 4 wilderness lakes. A popular designated horse trail called the Dugan Horse Trail brings cowboys and cowgirls through a variety of forest types, small lakes and 2 creeks.
While you’re in our neck of the woods, stop at the Fishing Hall of Fame or play a round at area Golf Courses. Der Lach Haus is a great Lac Courte Oreilles retreat during the American Birkebeiner, Musky Festival, Spooner Rodeo, Honor the Earth Pow Wow, and Lumberjack World Championships.
