The luxury Hayward cabin has steps down to a grassy lawn which makes a great spot for lawn games. There is 150’ feet of shoreline along Whitefish Lake that has a sand bottom with gentle slope that makes it an excellent swimming area. Bring your own boat, launch it at the south shore public boat ramp, and use the home’s private pier/boat lift during your stay.
You’ll have two kayaks, a canoe, and two stand-up paddle boards to use to explore the 800-acre crystal clear spring-fed lake if you prefer quiet paddle-type exploration. After a day out on the lake, relax in the loft, on the deck, in the screened porch, or in the game room. There are so many options for relaxation and fun.
Swimming, boating, and fishing are a must at this amazing location. Whitefish Lake’s maximum depth is 105 feet and angler’s can expect to find Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye, and Trout. The whole family can fish from the long pier or get out in the canoe or your own boat for casting in deeper waters.
This cabin near Lac Courte Orielles is just a short drive to hiking, biking, ATVing, skiing, and snowmobiling trails. You’ll have a wide range of outdoor recreation in all seasons to choose from. If you want to travel light and rent gear, the New Moon Ski and Bike shop in Hayward gives you seasonal rental options for road and mountain bikes, fat tire winter bikes, snowshoes, skis and poles. Once you wrap up your envirogating winter sports playday, snuggling up in front of the Escape on Whitefish Cabin’s wood-burning fireplace is going to feel like the perfect ending of a wonderful day.

Nightly rates at Escape on Whitefish Lake $500 per night, with a three-night minimum stay during the off season.
During peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), Escape on Whitefish rents on a weekly-only basis. Weekly rentals run Saturday to Saturday.
Sales tax of 5.5 percent will be added to all rental rates, along with a $79.13 booking fee (includes tax).
A $200 cleaning fee to be added to all rentals.
A refundable damage deposit of half the rent is required on the day of arrival.
