GG’s Lake House is a newly remodeled, modern vacation home located just 35 feet from the shore of Spider Lake, with views facing east to take full advantage of the vibrant sunrise. This two-story cabin sits on a hilly, wooded lot overlooking the water, with a sturdy wooden ramp leading all the way from an outdoor balcony and sitting area to a private dock. A private driveway running up to the house ends in a spacious paved lot, with plenty of room for vehicles, trailers and boats.
On the main level, a gleaming modern kitchen features a breakfast bar with four counter-height stools, hardwood floors, stainless-steel appliances and decorative light fixtures. The kitchen area is open to a shared dining space furnished with a rustic-style old-fashioned table with rustic-cut chairs for six guests. This dining space opens to the outdoor seating deck via a double-wide sliding glass door.
On the other side of the kitchen, a hallway leads to a cozy living room with comfortable lounge chairs, a desk and a flat-screen TV, decorated with wood paneling and thematic touches reminiscent of a true Northwoods hunting and fishing lodge. A larger lounge and recreation area on the lower level is furnished with two full-length sofas and a recliner, as well as a second television. The lower level is also equipped with a second refrigerator and a wet bar.
Sleeping Arrangements: GG’s Lake House provides four private bedrooms with one king-sized bed, two queens, one set of bunks with a twin-sized bed lofted over a full, and two queen-sized sofa sleepers in the shared living space.

GG’s Lake House claims 125 feet of private shoreline on the Spider Lake chain of lakes, with two private docks for fishing, boating and swimming. The Spider Lake Chain covers 1,194 acres in Sawyer County, and at 64 feet at its deepest point, it is home to a variety of game fish including pan fish, musky, walleye and bass. Spider Lake is a popular water sport destination, with easily accessible equipment rentals available in the area.
The water is open for motor boating, water skiing, jet skiing and tubing from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day of the week. Guests can also enjoy the relaxing sights and sounds of the lake from the comfort of the property’s large deck and many large windows on the lake-facing side.
GG’s Lake House is located only a 25-minute drive from downtown Hayward, where visitors will find plenty to occupy their free hours during any time of the year. Hayward is home to popular attractions, such as local restaurants and taverns, live music from local artists, golf courses, mini golf, go-cart racing, a Lumberjack Village and the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame. However, it’s the community’s unique natural location that make it truly one-of-a-kind.
Hayward is surrounded by the dense protected greenery of the Chequamegon Nicolet National Forest, which is home to a vast network of interconnecting trails and gravel roads that are maintained for public use year-round. Visitors to the area can explore the great outdoors on foot, or can venture out on snowshoes, cross-country skis, mountain bikes, ATVs or snowmobiles. The Chequamegon Nicolet trails are home to some of the region’s most renowned competitive races and events, such as the Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival, the Mt. Borah Epic and the American Birkebeiner.
Visitor’s may also choose to see the sites from the deck of a paddleboat, kayak or canoe, and can traverse the region following the natural path cut by the Namekagon and Big Brook rivers. The area is home to a variety of native wildlife, including whitetail deer, elk, bald eagles, timber wolves, black bear, otters, beaver and loons. The expansive natural habitats make the Hayward area a truly experiential destination for viewing, exploring, fishing and even hunting.

Nightly rates at GG's Lake House $400 per night, with a three-night minimum stay during the off season.
During peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), GG's Lake House rents on a weekly-only basis. Weekly rentals run Saturday to Saturday.
Sales tax of 5.5 percent will be added to all rental rates, along with a $79.13 booking fee (includes tax).
A refundable damage deposit of half the rent is required on the day of arrival.
