The Pinecone Lodge in Hayward, Wisconsin, is a beautiful lakefront gathering place for friends and family. This nine-bedroom Hayward estate is settled on a grassy hill overlooking the water, with custom steps leading down to a private boat dock on 949-acre Sand Lake.
This Hayward cabin rental has been completely renovated with a combination of old-world Northwoods charm and modern luxury amenities. The main floor features an open living space with picture windows, hardwood floors and details, and a wood-burning fireplace in a stone hearth. The sitting room is comfortable for movie nights with two sofas, an armchair, and a large flat-screen TV. The kitchen is equipped to handle large groups with two ovens, two refrigerators, two dishwashers, two beverage coolers, two microwaves, two coffee makers and plenty of counter space. The dining room has two long tables with bench seating and a spectacular view.
Nine private bedrooms at Pinecone Lodge are furnished with two king-sized beds, four queen-sized beds, one full-sized bed, two freestanding twin-sized beds, and three sets of twin-over-twin bunk beds. All of the bedrooms are beautifully decorated and equipped with their own Smart TV. The upper level also has its own coffee bar and beverage cooler.
Pinecone Lodge has a picturesque, three-season wraparound porch on the ground floor (complete with a third refrigerator and freezer), which is the perfect place to sit quietly with morning coffee or relax and enjoy the view while visiting with friends and family or perhaps plan a outdoor meal to make use of the 2 gas grills! The property is outfitted with Adirondack lounge chairs and an outdoor fire-pit. Kids will love the large yard, and the younger set can enjoy a brand-new sand box and an onsite playground with swings. There is also power located by the dock to allow convenient charging of boat batteries!
Pinecone Lodge is situated on 342 feet of private shoreline on Sand Lake in Sawyer County. This Northwoods fishing lake has a max depth of 50 feet, and is home to panfish, musky, large and smallmouth bass, walleye and northern pike. The lake is also pleasant to swim in, with a soft sandy bottom and moderately clear waters. Your stay at the cabin includes the use of our private docks for storing personal watercraft. You will have access to the lake via a public boat launch located nearby.
If you’re not traveling with your own watercraft, you can find boat rentals in Hayward, as well as plenty of other outdoor equipment lenders including canoes and kayaks, snowshoes, cross-country skis, bikes, snowmobiles and ATVs. The Hayward area is surrounded by thousands of acres of wild Northwoods forestland, and traversed by numerous year-round nature trails. There are also great options for public hunting land.
If you don’t feel like making use of the Pinecone Lodge’s impressive cooking facilities, you can gather up the group for dinner in downtown Hayward. Nightly rates at Pinecone Lodge $1000 per night,
During peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), Pinecone Lodge rents on a weekly-only basis. Weekly rentals run Sunday to Sunday.
Sales tax of 5.5 percent will be added to all rental rates, along with a $79.13 booking fee (includes tax).
A refundable damage deposit of half the rent is required on the day of arrival.
Rates during the off season run $600/night with a 2 night minimum or $3,500/week. Cleaning fee of $500 to be added to all rentals.
Weekly rates during peak season are $7,000.
