From the pontoon rental to the cabin, the amenities, the yard, Kathy at Stepaway...everything was perfect. Home is in lovely condition on the interior. Love the large deck. Fire pit was perfectly set up for our group. Loved the ability to walk right into the lake from the large flat yard. Pier was a little short for pontoon & ski boats but it worked fine. An added bonus were the Bald Eagles flying overhead daily & deer visitors (minus the PILES they left for us to clean up every morning:). Also the sunsets! Just beautiful sunsets!! The only thing we could’ve done without was the swimmers itch from the lake. And we realize that is out of the owner & management’s control however it was part of the experience so it’s only fair to mention it. It would be nice if the DNR could step in and help control that somehow so you don’t have to worry about kids uncomfortable itching throughout vacation and the weeks after. Absolutely satisfied with Stepaway Vacation Rentals & Lakeside sunset. Thank you for the memories!
