This three-bedroom log cabin rental has a picturesque rustic theme to the decor, while providing comfortable accommodations and modern amenities in the Northwoods.
Whatever the reason for your trip “Up North” — the trees, the clean wilderness air, the fishing, the kayaking, the snowmobile and bike trails, or the haunting call of the loons — you can enjoy it all at Sunset Lake Retreat in Eagle River. This quintessential Northwoods cabin is especially picturesque in the autumn season, so book ahead to stay during the peak of fall color!
In addition to a private and serene lot between the trees, Sunset Lake Retreat offers a spacious sun deck with a view of the water, a screen porch for family game nights on summer evenings, a boat dock, and a lakeside campfire pit with provided firewood. This home is newly remodeled in 2021 with new appliances and mattresses and two updated bathrooms. And it’s pet-friendly!
Sleeping arrangements: There is a master bedroom with a queen, an upstairs bedroom with a twin bed and a bunk bed, and three sleeper sofas: one each in the screen porch, living room and loft.

This cabin rental offers private access to Sunset Lake, which does not have any public boat landings. We also provide a rowboat, kayaks, and a rentable 8 hp motor. New in 2022 we offer a pontoon boat for rent. You're also very close to the Eagle River Chain of Lakes, where you can fish, cruise the water, and even access some of the area’s best restaurants by boat.

This northern hub of Wisconsin tourism and recreation offers plenty of family-friendly fun against a backdrop of unspoiled scenic wilderness. The cabin was nothing short of incredible. It oozes north woods from the log cabin design to the interior decor to the awesome fire pit, we loved every bit of it!! The kitchen was well stocked to do your own cooking, great coffee maker, silverware, plates, glasses, etc. The fridge was newer and had plenty of ice, the dishwasher was a plus and we put it to use often. On-site laundry was huge because we have a young daughter who is getting dirty all the time. All bathrooms were clean and stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The towels were nice and soft and my daughter (4 1/2) loved taking a bath in the downstairs bathroom. Waterfront, pier, boats and kayaks made for a nice relaxing cabin experience. Fishing was so-so for the bigger bass that inhabit the lake, but we caught small bluegill and sunfish cast after cast right from the pier. Eagles, deer, and woodpeckers were frequently seen close by. The covered porch and the open deck facing the lake are a superb place to have a cup of coffee and read a book. First aid kit was put to use once and nice to have on hand since we didn’t bring one. It would’ve been nice to have a guest book to write in (something we’ve done at a lot of other cabins), but that’s nothing to complain about and something I will recommend to the owners.
