Welcome to one of Wisconsin’s most popular vacation and relaxation destinations, Hayward! Our Moe Cabin has waterfront view and a private dock with direct access to the 15,000 acre Lake Chippewa Flowage. Bring your tackle - This lake offers world class musky, walleye, northern pike, bass, crappie, bluegill, and perch. You'll find history, culture and recreation around every corner.
We invite you to enjoy our state-licensed, comfortable house. The three bedrooms sleep six people. A full kitchen with dining area, refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, and dishwasher. The kitchen faces the lake and the living room seats 9. There is a washer and dryer in the bathroom. The lake has very few homes built along the shoreline because most of the land surrounding the lake is owned by the State.
Sleeping arrangement: Maximum of 6 people. There are 3 bedrooms. 1 Queen bed is located in master bedroom downstairs.; 1 Double bed is located in second bedroom downstairs. 1 double bed and 1 twin bed are located upstairs.
There is a glassed/screened porch for viewing the lake, for additional dining, seating, and playing games.
There is a fire pit on the property for your enjoyment with unlimited free firewood. A canoe is available for exploring the lake. Please bring your own life vests and boat cushions.
Convenient to the Lake and downtown (15 miles East of Hayward). Unique amenities: relax in the large screened/glassed-in porch, or break out the yard games on our huge yard leading to 150 feet of water frontage. Bring your own boat and dock it at your private 50 foot dock (boat launch is across the road). "Cabin time" at Moe’s means spending plenty of time outside: an outdoor table with umbrella, four chairs, lounge and lawn chairs are available. Plenty of privacy too - 1 1/2 acre waterfront lot. Boat and pontoon rentals are available at nearby marinas. Enjoy the outdoor fire pit with a view of the lakefront.
From the Moe Cabin, you can make local and long distance calls for free. Since you plan and book directly with us (The Moe’s), we’d be happy to share our local knowledge - just ask!
Though it’s hard to get tired of time on the water, you should plan on exploring the area: Excellent golf courses, miles of trails for hiking and riding ATVs. The festivals are non-stop: Musky Festival, Fall Festival, Fat Tire Bike race, weekly lumberjack shows and the World Lumberjack Championship in July, Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum, and 4th of July fireworks, parade, carnival, and festivities, weekly Native American Pow Wows and the annual Honor the Earth Pow Wow in July. The kids love area riding stables, mini golf courses and go-carts. Spend time at the new Escape House in Hayward. There’s nothing better than the famous “Friday Night Fish Fry” in the northwoods, served at area restaurants. Shore lunch fish fry's at the cabin and on numerous islands are tasty too.
The Hayward Area and Moe’s Cabin is surrounded by beautiful lakes, trails for hiking and biking like the American Birkebeiner Trail, CAMBA and the North Country Trail. Point your compass any direction and find Wineries, Coffee & Tea shops, Boutique’s - even the shopping is an adventure in Hayward!
