Artist’s Cove is a secluded two-bedroom vacation home, nestled between two scenic lakes in northern Wisconsin. This rental cabin in Manitowish Waters, WI, features a heated porch with a view of the shoreline, two fireplaces, and a private dock on Nelson Lake.
This five-person cabin rental is ideal for couples or small families looking to get away and explore the wild Wisconsin Northwoods. Artist’s Cove is a charming lake house with open living spaces and large windows, settled between tall pines on a gently sloping lawn.
The main floor at Artist’s Cove includes a central fireplace, surrounded by a cozy sitting room with a flat-screen TV, a dining room with a picture window and chairs for six, and a fully-equipped, eat-in kitchen with dishes and modern appliances.
Sleeping arrangements: Two private bedrooms at Artist’s Cove are furnished with one queen-sized bed and one full-sized bed. Both bedrooms have a wall-mounted flat-screen TV. There is also a pull-out sofa bed in the main living area.
Artist’s Cove has a wonderful custom-built lakeside deck, where mature trees have been incorporated into the open-air design. We provide deck chairs, an outdoor dining table, and a grill, as well as lawn chairs and a fire pit set in the yard closer to the water. Feel free to use the onsite rowboat and kayaks, or bring your own watercraft to launch from our private dock. We recommend having your morning coffee at the small bench at the end of the dock!
Artist’s Cove is ideally located just a few minutes from northern Wisconsin’s Ottawa National Forest and the Chequamegon-Nicolet national Forest. It’s also surrounded by the stunning natural greenery of the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest.
These wooded vistas supply the perfect playground for nature lovers to get out and explore in the pristine, wild landscape and the clean air. Northern Wisconsin is traversed by an extensive nature trail system, perfect for snowshoeing, fat-tire biking, hiking and even snowmobiling.
We are close to options for downhill skiing in the winter time, as well as dozens of other exciting year-round adventure activities. Paddle the many local lakes and rivers, and plan to spend a sunny afternoon fishing! Wild Rice Lake is home to musky, panfish, bass, pike, and walleye.
