More than 400 specifies of plants can be found in the prairie and 75 species of birds, including sandhill cranes.
The prairie is also home to animals like red foxes, woodchucks, and many reptiles and amphibians. Take the two-mile trail to explore the Kenosha dunes at the northern side of the prairie.
