This cozy cottage is located beside Little St. Germain Lake and offers a hideaway for a couple or small family looking to relax near St. Germain. At the cottage, you can sit on the porch swing and enjoy the moderate climate of a Wisconsin summer, or head into the lake for a fun day in the water. With the charcoal grill located on the property, you don’t even have to go inside to make dinner.
Enter the cabin to find wood paneled walls but with bright, airy windows, giving it a rustic yet open feel that will put you right at home. The living and dining area is complete with a squashy couch and DVD/VCR player that is complete with cable TV. With the adjacent kitchen, you also won’t have to leave the house to get something to eat. It is also complete with a microwave and coffee maker, making quick meals or a cup of coffee as easy as they would be at home.
The cabin sleeps up to four people, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. Other amenities include central air and WiFi.
One of the best parts of staying in this area for your vacation is its on site fish house, boat ramp, and private dock. Because of the property’s location on the lake, you can go fishing or out on a boat in the water without having to get in your car and drive. Maybe you can even catch dinner for the evening!
If you want, you can stay on the property for your whole visit and have plenty to do in terms of outdoor recreation, especially on the water. However, St. Germain and the surrounding area also has a lot to offer. Head to Shannon Lake Trail or Fern Ridge Trail for a hike that will show you some of Wisconsin’s best flora and fauna. Or, rent a bike (or bring your own) and head out for the Heart of Vilas County Trail Bike System. It is fully paved and the perfect place to meander for an afternoon.
