Searching for the Best Lakefront Family Cabin Rentals Wisconsin Pet Friendly with Hot Tub on Lake Puckaway? Adeline’s House of Cool fits the brief and then some. This six-bedroom, three-bath lakefront lodge sleeps up to 12 and was designed to keep families together and entertained in every season—pets included.
The centerpiece is the legendary indoor “Big Dipper,” a 20-foot, approximately six-foot-deep hot tub set by fireplaces and mood lighting, so evenings roll from splash time into story time without ever leaving the warmth of the house. The main level flows from a cook-friendly kitchen and dining spaces to a game-ready great room and a nostalgic rec lounge stocked with a pool table, wet bar, jukebox, pinball and slot machine, tuned piano, and a wood-burning stone fireplace.
Upstairs, all six bedrooms run off a hallway that opens to a screened wraparound deck with swing benches and adult-size wooden rocking horses—quiet corners for morning coffee, afternoon chats, and stargazing. Outside, roomy gathering zones, a large fire pit, and a private pier with channel access put Lake Puckaway within easy reach for boating and fishing by day and s’mores after sunset. It’s a playful, comfortable base where grandparents, kids, friends, and four-legged family members can spread out, reconnect, and make a week’s worth of memories in one unforgettable stay.
Personality starts before you step inside: a hand-carved seating nook at the drive, dramatic 10-foot French doors, and a striking 40-foot stained-glass awning with stained-glass sidewalls framing the entry. Indoors, the mood-lit Big Dipper hot tub sets a playful tone, complemented by stone and granite fireplaces and a full entertainment lineup from pool to pinball.
Step outside to a wraparound deck, a working vintage phone booth, a seasonal umbrella garden, and generous grounds planned for group hangouts, plus ample parking for multiple cars or trailers. Equal parts whimsical and practical, this pet-friendly lakefront retreat is one of Wisconsin’s most distinctive large cabins with a hot tub on Lake Puckaway.
Start on the water. Lake Puckaway spans roughly 5,013 acres with public access from multiple boat launches, and is known for walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass, panfish, and catfish. Your private pier with channel access makes it simple to launch kayaks, tie up the boat, or slip out at first light for a quiet cast; when the lake freezes, anglers switch to tip-ups while snowmobilers crisscross nearby trails. Summer or winter, the lake is the star—and seven public launches around the shoreline keep exploring easy.
Beyond the pier, trade waves for wetlands at Grand River Marsh Wildlife Area, an approximately 7,000-acre mosaic of cattail marsh, prairie, and oak savanna just a quick ride away. It’s prime territory for easy hikes, birdwatching, and quiet paddles, with seasonal wildlife viewing platforms and plenty of sky for Sandhill Cranes and migrating waterfowl.
When you’re ready for a small-town detour, head to Montello’s Daggett Memorial Park to see the granite-quarry waterfalls right in downtown—photo-worthy, accessible, and an easy add to a lunch run.
For a cultural loop, the Kingston-Dalton Amish community offers bakeries, greenhouses, and furniture shops that welcome respectful visitors; it’s a mellow way to pick up fresh pies, seasonal produce, or a handcrafted keepsake before heading back to the fire pit.

Adeline’s House of Cool is proudly family-owned and owner-operated by Brian Urbanowski, whose creative touch is everywhere you look. He’s the mind behind the lodge’s whimsical stained-glass features and other custom art pieces, all designed to make gatherings feel playful, memorable, and easy for multi-generation groups. The home began as the family’s own waterfront cabin on Lake Puckaway and evolved into a whole-house retreat that stays true to its original spirit: kid- and pet-friendly, comfortable year-round, and packed with one-of-a-kind details like the signature indoor “Big Dipper” hot tub.
Hospitality here is hands-on and responsive. Guests frequently mention Brian—and caretaker/manager Tom—for going the extra mile before and during stays, and the team’s local roots show up in the property’s community ties through area chambers and visitor groups across Green Lake County. Today the home also goes by “Adeline’s Retreat,” a nod to how many visitors treat it as their private lakeside hideaway; whichever name you use, you’ll be welcomed by people who love sharing this corner of Wisconsin and are easy to reach with questions or special requests.
