Go carts, mini-golf, horseback riding, tennis and even axe throwing are a hop and a skip to town. (July 2023) Cal’s on the Chain was the PERFECT place for our family reunion in June. It was pure joy being in the north woods, on the water, and in a beautiful and comfortable home with our family. The main cabin and bunk house provided roomy accommodations…and the highlight of this property was the outdoor space, including a handicap accessible deck overlooking the lake, boat house, pontoon boat, fishing boat, peddle boat, paddle boards, and kayaks (we also rented a jet ski on the chain for the day). There was so much to do and everyone from age 1 to 84, had a fantastic time. It could not have been a more perfect place. Cal, the owner, was so kind and helpful, and has a genuine pride in this place. We hope to visit again one day, and we’ll carry the memories of our stay our hearts forever.

(August 2023)Our extended family recently vacationed in a charming Wisconsin property owned by a great couple. From the moment we first contacted them, it was clear that they were not only pleasant to talk to but also exceedingly easy to work with. They were always available to answer questions and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.
The first thing that struck us was the abundance of space, both indoors and outdoors. The rooms were spacious, modern, tastefully furnished, and clean. It was evident that the owners took great pride in maintaining their property. They stay on top of regular maintenance and are constantly making improvements to enhance the overall experience for their guests.
The property's buildings were strategically positioned to offer a panoramic sight of the Watersmeet Lake, the WI River and its natural beauty. We spent many hours on the wonderful deck over the boat house relaxing and savoring dinners while enjoying evening sunsets. The tranquility and serenity found in that spot are unparalleled, yet this property is conveniently located only 10 minutes from town.
Our family was able to spend wonderful evenings around the fire pit. The kids and grandkids enjoyed the fun activities in the bunkhouse including foosball, shuffleboard, and air hockey; paddle boards; kayaks; and water mat creating many lasting memories.
