Tucked into the trees with the gentle sound of a creek nearby, Cozy Brook South offers a quiet, adults-only retreat for two. This one-bedroom duplex cottage is thoughtfully designed for relaxation, featuring a spacious bedroom with a new king headboard, matching end tables, and a few thoughtful touches like a makeup mirror and bedside radio. The large picture window brings in plenty of natural light and frames the greenery just outside—perfect for enjoying your morning coffee in peace.
Inside, you'll find a welcoming living area with two armchairs, an ottoman, and a cozy fireplace for those cooler Door County nights. There's no couch here—just a simple, calm space to unwind with a book or stream your favorite shows on the ROKU-enabled TV. The galley kitchen is fully stocked with new cookware and ready for whatever’s on the menu, whether you’re preparing a big breakfast or keeping it easy with takeout from one of Ephraim’s favorite spots.
Cozy Brook South is part of a duplex, sharing a locked interior door with its twin, Cozy Brook North. While it’s fully private for solo bookings, guests traveling with friends or another couple can request to open the connection for a larger, two-bedroom stay. Either way, you're tucked away from the main cluster of cottages—giving this one a special kind of privacy and a front-row seat to the sounds of the creek.
What really makes Cozy Brook South stand out is its tranquil location right beside the creek—it’s far enough from the other cottages to feel tucked away, yet just close enough for a friendly hello if you want it. That gentle babble of water becomes a soothing soundtrack throughout your stay, whether you're reading by the window or winding down after a day of exploring Door County.
The 2025 updates give the bedroom a more polished and inviting vibe, with a warm wood headboard and bedside lighting that makes reading in bed a pleasure. The makeup mirror and classic clock radio are thoughtful touches you don’t often find in vacation rentals—they speak to the extra care we put into making your stay both functional and comfortable.
Another standout feature is the flexibility of the space. While this unit is perfect for couples or solo travelers, it can easily be combined with the neighboring unit to double the space and amenities. It’s ideal for two couples vacationing together who still want their own private space at the end of the day.
Cozy Brook South is a great home base for relaxing days spent reading, playing board games, or just enjoying the quiet pace of Ephraim. Pour a glass of wine, settle into one of the armchairs by the fire, and enjoy the slower rhythm that comes with being surrounded by nature and fresh air.
You’re also just minutes from some of Door County’s most loved spots. Head into Ephraim for a scoop from Wilson’s Ice Cream Parlor, or enjoy a bayside dinner at Trixie’s. For a bit of culture, check out the Hardy Gallery or take in a performance at Peninsula Players Theatre. Ephraim’s laid-back charm makes every outing feel unhurried and easy.
Outdoor lovers will appreciate how close we are to Peninsula State Park—just a quick drive or bike ride away. There you’ll find miles of hiking and biking trails, lookout towers, and kayak rentals. Whether you're hoping for a little adventure or a lot of R&R, it’s all right at your fingertips.
Don’t forget to explore beyond Ephraim—Fish Creek, Sister Bay, and Baileys Harbor are all just short drives away, each with their own unique character, shops, and dining spots. Send us a message to book direct and skip the extra guest fees from Airbnb or VRBO—we’d love to welcome you.

We had a fantastic stay at the cottages. The hosts are great and the property is beautifully decorated. It’s within walking distance to the beach and shopping/dining. Dogs are welcome and that is truly wonderful. Our stay was during the fall so there weren’t many other guests, but it was a very quiet stay! We will definitely be back! Tracy Lyyn
Clean housekeeping cottages in the heart of Ephraim my family has come every year for the past 40 years!! We love this place! Margie Weides
Everything is so nice and clean, the Host and Hostess are absolutely Great. Close to everything.. It's a must stay when in Door County. Ruth Kubiak
Our three night stay at Ephraim Village Cottages was wonderful and restorative. Just prior to our stay my wife and I completed the 1200 mile Ice Age Trail and needed to rest. Not only were the accommodations cozy, cute, and comfortable, but also our hosts were genuinely caring and hospitable. In addition to resting and getting to explore Ephraim and the surrounding towns we got to give a fireside talk about our hike around the fire pit with about 18 other people. I highly recommend Ephraim Village Cottages for your next Door County vacation. Greg Seymour
We spent one week at Ephraim Village Cottages and it was fantastic! Very close to a beautiful beach, quiet and with a lot of fun games and a playground for kids! The owners are very nice and ready to assist for any problem you might have! I strongly recommend it! Cristina Roux

Hi, we’re Daryl and Ruann Larson—your hosts at Ephraim Village Cottages. This is our sixth season welcoming guests to a place that’s deeply personal to us. My grandparents first laid down roots here in Ephraim with the original Larson Cottages, and in the late ’60s, my parents continued that legacy by opening Meadowview Cottages. In 2020, Ruann and I were blessed to bring the family tradition full circle when we became the third generation to care for this special property.
Today, we’ve reimagined it as Ephraim Village Cottages—a peaceful retreat where guests can relax, reconnect, and feel right at home. Ruann brings her heart and talents as a sign language interpreter, and together we’re hands-on in making sure every stay is meaningful. Whether you’re sipping coffee on the porch, gathering by the firepit, or just enjoying the charm of Door County, we want you to feel like part of our extended family. "May your stay be in a peaceful and secure dwelling in an undisturbed place of rest." – Isaiah 32:18.
