Cozy Brook North is a sweet little hideaway tucked alongside a gentle creek in Ephraim, Wisconsin. Designed just for two, this adults-only retreat is the perfect spot to unwind, recharge, and soak up some well-earned peace and quiet. Step inside to find a warm, wood-accented space with big windows that frame the trees and let in that serene Door County light. Whether you're curled up by the fireplace or sipping coffee with the creek babbling just outside, you're in for a relaxing stay.
The living area is thoughtfully laid out with two brand-new armchairs (2025 upgrade!) where you can read, chat, or dive into one of the board games we’ve stocked just for couples. There’s a large flat-screen TV with a new stand, plus a cozy radio and clock for those slower-paced mornings. The galley kitchen is compact but efficient—you'll have everything you need to whip up simple breakfasts or a shared bottle of wine and cheese plate after a day of exploring.
In the spacious bedroom, you'll find a king-size bed with a new headboard, updated nightstand, and fresh lighting. A wall AC unit keeps the temperature just right in summer, while the fireplace brings the cozy vibes when it’s cool. The private bathroom features a stand-up shower and makeup mirror. With parking right at the front door and just one step inside, access is easy and hassle-free.
One of the most unique things about Cozy Brook North is its flexibility. While it functions perfectly as a standalone cottage for two, there's a locked adjoining door to the other side of the duplex—Cozy Brook South. If you're traveling with friends or another couple, management can unlock that door to create a spacious, private two-bedroom, two-bath retreat. It’s a rare find in Ephraim, especially for couples who want both togetherness and a bit of personal space.
The 2025 refresh has brought thoughtful updates throughout the cottage, blending function with a fresh, modern charm. New armchairs and a king headboard elevate the comfort level, while updated lighting and décor bring warmth and character to every room. Even little touches like the upgraded radio and clock make it feel more like a real home-away-from-home.
We also love how Cozy Brook North sits slightly apart from the other cottages on the property. That extra bit of seclusion makes it feel more private, yet you're still just a short stroll away from shared amenities and the best of Ephraim. And with the soothing sounds of the creek just outside your window, you’ll feel a world away from your everyday routine.
Start your mornings with a walk along the creekside trail or a cup of coffee out front listening to the birds. Cozy Brook North is a peaceful spot for reading, journaling, or just unwinding—you might even spot a deer wandering through the trees. If you bring your pup (we allow one well-behaved dog), there’s room for leash walks and nearby dog-friendly parks to explore.
Just minutes from the cottage, you can spend an afternoon paddling along Eagle Harbor, renting a kayak from South Shore Pier. Ephraim Public Beach is a lovely spot for lounging or dipping your toes in the bay. For a scenic adventure, head up to Peninsula State Park and explore the Eagle Trail—a rugged favorite with unforgettable views of the cliffs and water below.
In town, don’t miss a scoop of frozen custard from Wilson’s or a visit to the Hardy Gallery on Anderson Dock, where you can see Door County's iconic graffiti wall. Local eats include Trixie's, a stylish spot for fresh, seasonal fare, and Chef’s Hat, a laid-back favorite with waterfront views. If you're here in summer, check out Ephraim's Fyr Bal Festival for live music, artisan markets, and the traditional beach bonfire.
Whether you’re planning a quiet couple’s weekend or a longer escape to recharge, Cozy Brook North offers a peaceful, private setting close to the heart of Door County. Send us a message to book direct and skip the fees on Airbnb and VRBO!

Our three night stay at Ephraim Village Cottages was wonderful and restorative. Just prior to our stay my wife and I completed the 1200 mile Ice Age Trail and needed to rest. Not only were the accommodations cozy, cute, and comfortable, but also our hosts were genuinely caring and hospitable. In addition to resting and getting to explore Ephraim and the surrounding towns we got to give a fireside talk about our hike around the fire pit with about 18 other people. I highly recommend Ephraim Village Cottages for your next Door County vacation. Greg Seymour
We spent one week at Ephraim Village Cottages and it was fantastic! Very close to a beautiful beach, quiet and with a lot of fun games and a playground for kids! The owners are very nice and ready to assist for any problem you might have! I strongly recommend it! Cristina Roux
Have been coming to Door County for over 26 years and this is our second stay this year! Will not stay anywhere else this is our new favorite place! Owners Daryl and Ruann are like long time friends you have known since childhood, they really know what Hospitality means and their personalities and Cottages reflect it! It's like your little home away from home and they are spotless! You feel like you've gone back in time to a simpler time where you can relax and enjoy the outdoors, step across the street to the beach, and maybe even meet new friends around the shared fire pit. But there are just enough modern touches including WiFi and televisions should you want that. Oh and did I mention the owners surprised us with a bottle of Door County wine to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary!?? Thoughtfulness like this is rare these days. So whether you rent a larger Cottage to invite your whole family or a quaint romantic getaway for two, you won't be disappointed, highly highly recommend! Ann Johnson

Hi, we’re Daryl and Ruann Larson—your hosts at Ephraim Village Cottages. This is our sixth season welcoming guests to a place that’s deeply personal to us. My grandparents first laid down roots here in Ephraim with the original Larson Cottages, and in the late ’60s, my parents continued that legacy by opening Meadowview Cottages. In 2020, Ruann and I were blessed to bring the family tradition full circle when we became the third generation to care for this special property.
Today, we’ve reimagined it as Ephraim Village Cottages—a peaceful retreat where guests can relax, reconnect, and feel right at home. Ruann brings her heart and talents as a sign language interpreter, and together we’re hands-on in making sure every stay is meaningful. Whether you’re sipping coffee on the porch, gathering by the firepit, or just enjoying the charm of Door County, we want you to feel like part of our extended family. "May your stay be in a peaceful and secure dwelling in an undisturbed place of rest." – Isaiah 32:18.
