Tucked into the quiet back corner of our three-acre resort, Meadowview III has long been a favorite for family getaways—and it’s easy to see why. With room to comfortably sleep six and thoughtful updates throughout, this classic Door County cottage strikes the perfect balance between cozy and spacious. Recent renovations bring a fresh feel to the space, with crisp paint, new laminate floors, soft carpeting in the bedrooms, and tasteful touches like updated bedding, wall décor, and a pair of inviting new armchairs in the living room.
You’ll feel right at home in the large living room, where a picture window frames the peaceful greenery outside and generous seating invites you to kick back after a day of adventure. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for pancake breakfasts or evening cook-ins, and the three bedrooms (two queens and a twin room) offer restful retreats for both grownups and kids. A full bath with a shower/tub combo adds to the convenience.
Out front, a covered porch with deck chairs offers a sweet spot for coffee or cocktails, with a view of the quiet front yard and cedar trees along Larson Lane. You’re just a stone’s throw from the kids' playground and our communal fire pit—so s’mores and stargazing are always on the evening agenda.
Unique Features
What makes Meadowview III stand out most is its blend of privacy and proximity. It’s tucked away enough to feel like your own little haven, but still just steps from the action—whether it’s the beach, the playground, or the fire pit. Families especially love how easy it is to keep an eye on the kids while still relaxing on the porch with a book or a glass of wine.
Inside, the design reflects a mix of comfort and simplicity. The layout is smart and functional for groups, with cozy corners for reading, plenty of natural light, and just enough modern updates to keep things fresh without losing the old-school Door County charm. The armchairs and new décor in 2025 give the space a relaxed, lived-in feel—like you’re visiting a favorite aunt’s cottage that’s always stocked with good coffee and board games.
The parking setup is another unsung perk—there’s space right next to the porch for three cars, or for a vehicle with bikes, kayaks, or even a boat trailer. And if you’re traveling with your pup, Meadowview III is one of the few cabins on the property that welcomes dogs (limit two)—so go ahead and bring your four-legged family members along for the ride.
Things To Do
At the cottage, simple pleasures are the main attraction. Start your day with coffee on the porch, let the kids run off to the nearby playground, or take a short stroll to the Ephraim public beach for a swim or shoreline wander. In the evenings, the communal fire pit is the place to be—don’t forget to bring marshmallows and your favorite campfire stories.
Just a five-minute walk brings you into the heart of Ephraim, where you can browse the Anderson Barn History Center, grab an ice cream cone at Wilson’s (a must!), or catch a sunset over Eagle Harbor. The charming shops and galleries along Hwy 42 are full of surprises—handmade soaps, local art, and one-of-a-kind keepsakes you’ll only find in Door County.
For active adventurers, the nearby Eagle Trail in Peninsula State Park offers a challenging hike with jaw-dropping bluff views, and the Ephraim Wetlands Preserve is a great low-key spot for birdwatching or a peaceful nature walk. If you're here in summer, check out concerts at Harborside Park or Ephraim's famous Fyr Bal Festival, where the whole village celebrates with music, bonfires, and fireworks.
Whether you're here to unwind or explore, Meadowview III makes a great home base. Send us a quick inquiry to book direct and skip the VRBO and Airbnb fees—your Door County adventure awaits.

Reviews
We had a fantastic stay at the cottages. The hosts are great and the property is beautifully decorated. It’s within walking distance to the beach and shopping/dining. Dogs are welcome and that is truly wonderful. Our stay was during the fall so there weren’t many other guests, but it was a very quiet stay! We will definitely be back! Tracy Lyyn
Clean housekeeping cottages in the heart of Ephraim my family has come every year for the past 40 years!! We love this place! Margie Weides
Everything is so nice and clean, the Host and Hostess are absolutely Great. Close to everything.. It's a must stay when in Door County. Ruth Kubiak
Our three night stay at Ephraim Village Cottages was wonderful and restorative. Just prior to our stay my wife and I completed the 1200 mile Ice Age Trail and needed to rest. Not only were the accommodations cozy, cute, and comfortable, but also our hosts were genuinely caring and hospitable. In addition to resting and getting to explore Ephraim and the surrounding towns we got to give a fireside talk about our hike around the fire pit with about 18 other people. I highly recommend Ephraim Village Cottages for your next Door County vacation. Greg Seymour
We spent one week at Ephraim Village Cottages and it was fantastic! Very close to a beautiful beach, quiet and with a lot of fun games and a playground for kids! The owners are very nice and ready to assist for any problem you might have! I strongly recommend it! Cristina Roux
Hi, we’re Daryl and Ruann Larson—your hosts at Ephraim Village Cottages. This is our sixth season welcoming guests to a place that’s deeply personal to us. My grandparents first laid down roots here in Ephraim with the original Larson Cottages, and in the late ’60s, my parents continued that legacy by opening Meadowview Cottages. In 2020, Ruann and I were blessed to bring the family tradition full circle when we became the third generation to care for this special property.
Today, we’ve reimagined it as Ephraim Village Cottages—a peaceful retreat where guests can relax, reconnect, and feel right at home. Ruann brings her heart and talents as a sign language interpreter, and together we’re hands-on in making sure every stay is meaningful. Whether you’re sipping coffee on the porch, gathering by the firepit, or just enjoying the charm of Door County, we want you to feel like part of our extended family. "May your stay be in a peaceful and secure dwelling in an undisturbed place of rest." – Isaiah 32:18.
