Recent renovations bring a fresh feel to the space, with crisp paint, new laminate floors, soft carpeting in the bedrooms, and tasteful touches like updated bedding, wall décor, and a pair of inviting new armchairs in the living room.

You’ll feel right at home in the large living room, where a picture window frames the peaceful greenery outside and generous seating invites you to kick back after a day of adventure. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for pancake breakfasts or evening cook-ins, and the three bedrooms (two queens and a twin room) offer restful retreats for both grownups and kids. A full bath with a shower/tub combo adds to the convenience.

Out front, a covered porch with deck chairs offers a sweet spot for coffee or cocktails, with a view of the quiet front yard and cedar trees along Larson Lane. You’re just a stone’s throw from the kids' playground and our communal fire pit—so s’mores and stargazing are always on the evening agenda.

Things To Do

At the cottage, simple pleasures are the main attraction. Start your day with coffee on the porch, let the kids run off to the nearby playground, or take a short stroll to the Ephraim public beach for a swim or shoreline wander. In the evenings, the communal fire pit is the place to be—don’t forget to bring marshmallows and your favorite campfire stories.

Just a five-minute walk brings you into the heart of Ephraim, where you can browse the Anderson Barn History Center, grab an ice cream cone at Wilson’s (a must!), or catch a sunset over Eagle Harbor. The charming shops and galleries along Hwy 42 are full of surprises—handmade soaps, local art, and one-of-a-kind keepsakes you’ll only find in Door County.

For active adventurers, the nearby Eagle Trail in Peninsula State Park offers a challenging hike with jaw-dropping bluff views, and the Ephraim Wetlands Preserve is a great low-key spot for birdwatching or a peaceful nature walk. About the Owner/Manager

Hi, we’re Daryl and Ruann Larson—your hosts at Ephraim Village Cottages. This is our sixth season welcoming guests to a place that’s deeply personal to us. My grandparents first laid down roots here in Ephraim with the original Larson Cottages, and in the late ’60s, my parents continued that legacy by opening Meadowview Cottages. In 2020, Ruann and I were blessed to bring the family tradition full circle when we became the third generation to care for this special property.

Today, we’ve reimagined it as Ephraim Village Cottages—a peaceful retreat where guests can relax, reconnect, and feel right at home. Ruann brings her heart and talents as a sign language interpreter, and together we’re hands-on in making sure every stay is meaningful. Whether you’re sipping coffee on the porch, gathering by the firepit, or just enjoying the charm of Door County, we want you to feel like part of our extended family.
