This 1930’s lakefront home with 150 feet of frontage on Big St. Germain Lake creates a beautiful, romantic setting for a private getaway. A sandy beach and gradually sloping sandy lake bottom offer a great area for sunbathing, wading, swimming, and water activities. Tie up the paddleboat or aluminum fishing boat included with the cottage to the private pier. They will be all ready for your awesome adventures out on the lake.
Inside you’ll find a bedroom on the main floor and two additional bedrooms and nook area on the upper level, all with hardwood floors, Victorian-style wood moldings, and cut glass doors. The spacious sunroom along the side of the house with its wicker and antique furnishings offers a cozy place to relax and take in the expansive lake views. The living room has a stone fireplace and comfortable seating. The bathroom has a charming claw foot bathtub.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, toaster, coffeemaker, plates, silverware, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. The dining room table in the sunroom seats 4.

Unique Features
Big St. Germain Lake offers 1617 acres of water with a maximum depth of 42 feet. Guests with boats can launch at the public boat landing nearby and dock at the cottage’s private pier/boat lift. Fish from the pier or use the aluminum fishing boat to catch musky, panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, trout and walleye. The paddleboat is free for guests to use, and look for wildlife along the shoreline when you are taking your leisurely “pedal” out on the lake. You’ll certainly use the bench on the pier to watch the sunsets and wildlife.
Gather around the “industrial strength” outdoor fire pit for an evening under the stars telling your favorite stories. Sometimes in the summer you can even see the aurora borealis! You’ll be sure to hear the sounds of wildlife!
Things To Do
Rent an outboard motor for the rowboat, a fishing boat, a pontoon boat, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards through Hiller Vacation Homes if you want other ways to explore the lake. Kayak up the Lost Creek Inlet close by the cottage up to Lost Lake for beautiful scenery and wildlife viewing.
Take a short walk up the Inlet Road to the Clearview Supper Club established in 1918 with specialties ranging from Quinona Stuffed Portabella for vegetarians to tenderloin and walleye for meat lovers. Try an Old Fashion cocktail in the resort’s separate bar with traditional Northwoods log interior. There are lovely views of the lake from both bar and dining area.
