Welcome to Deer Haven! On the former site of Kathan Inn & Resort, Deer Haven is under new ownership since 2021 with a beautifully remodeled Northwoods retreat for up to 8 people.
In the morning, enjoy your cup of coffee with a beautiful sunrise from the screen porch. You may even see some local wildlife walking by! Enjoy the beautifully renovated interior and cozy up in the living room and enjoy stunning views of the lake.
Deer Haven has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, full kitchen, a dining area, and a family room/playroom. Plenty of room for everyone!
Located on Kathan Lake and also directly on the intersection of the Sugar Camp and Eagle River snowmobile trails. ATV's can be trailered to parking areas/trails 5 miles from this property.
Deer Haven has been fully remodeled in 2022 and is ready for your visit! We share our beach/lake access area with the neighboring cabins complete with rowboats, paddle boats and canoe. We have 2 kayaks and life jackets and a fishing table for cleaning your fish. Come and take in the calm, peaceful atmosphere around Kathan Lake. Kathan Lake has no public access. We also have The Last Cast Bar and Restaurant right next door. Great food!!

Outside on site enjoy horseshoe pits, volleyball, playground, fishing, hiking, & biking to enjoy in the warmer months. In the winter, enjoy snowmobile access, ice fishing and a beautiful winter wonderland.
ATV's can be trailered to parking areas/trails 5 miles from this property. Hwy H is also an ATV route.
We are just minutes from popular stops: Eagle River, St. Germain, Sugar Camp, Rhinelander, Minocqua, Three Lakes, & Land O’Lakes.
Enjoy rafting/canoeing/tubing on the WIsconsin River and other water activities on the nearby chain of 28 lakes.
During the day you can play a round at a few local golf courses, take some laps on the go-kart tracks, head downtown Eagle River for shopping and a bite to eat. The area has many restaurants, breweries, an award winning winery, a racetrack/speedway, antique/thrift shops, casinos and more.
We also are a fairly short drive north to the UP (Upper Peninsula) of Michigan where you can enjoy even more outdoor fun.

Down Payment: A 30% down payment is required by personal check or credit card to reserve your booking. The remainder of payment is due 30 days prior to arrival by check or credit card.
A security deposit is also required prior to stay and will be invoiced with final payment due 30 days prior to stay.

Cancellation Policy
100% refund within 24 hours after booking (provided the stay is at least 60 days away).
50% refund if you cancel at least 8 weeks before check-in
25% refund if you cancel at least 4 weeks before check-in
