Welcome to my cozy riverfront cabin on the Chippewa River. Nestled among towering pines near Bruce, Wisconsin, this tiny home offers a peaceful retreat for couples, solo travelers or small families. As you step through the door, you’ll find a comfortable queen bedroom, full bath, and a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare home‑cooked meals. A full sized sofa sleeper provides extra sleeping space, while air conditioning, heat and free Wi‑Fi keep you comfortable year‑round.
I designed the living space to be both functional and inviting. Enjoy movie nights on the smart TV with VHS/DVD player, or listen to your favorite cassette tapes on the vintage boom box. A small loft above the living area provides extra sleeping or reading space—just bring your air mattress or sleeping bag. Huge windows overlook the river, letting in natural light and offering endless views of the Chippewa’s gentle current.
Outside, relax on the porch with a morning coffee, watch for bald eagles soaring overhead and deer in the surrounding woods, or head down to the water for a paddle. The on‑site boat launch makes it easy to put in your canoe, kayak or small motor boat. After a day on the water, gather around the firepit under the stars. Firewood is provided, and I’ve stocked the Weber Smokey Joe grill so you can cook out while listening to the sounds of the river.
My cabin’s most unique feature is its direct access to the Chippewa River. You have your own boat launch steps from the front door, so you can fish, paddle, tube or simply float downstream without ever getting in your car. The property is surrounded by forest, and wildlife sightings are common—watch for deer, fox, eagles and even the occasional black bear. For evening relaxation, enjoy a campfire in the private firepit; I supply the wood so you don’t have to haul any.
Another special touch is the vintage entertainment setup. In addition to streaming through the smart TV, you can enjoy VHS tapes, DVDs, and even a CD/cassette boom box—a nostalgic addition that my guests love. I’ve also kept the tiny home eco‑friendly by using energy‑efficient heating and cooling and stocking reusable dishes and utensils.
Right on the property you can spend your days swimming in the Chippewa, fishing for bass and walleye or launching your kayak for a scenic paddle. The river is also perfect for tubing; pack a picnic and float lazily downstream. Birdwatchers will delight in the abundance of species here—bring your binoculars and listen to the chorus of songbirds each morning.
Just a short drive away you’ll find miles of ATV trails weaving through the forest; they’re great for both summer and winter adventures. In town, explore Bruce’s quaint shops and diners or head to nearby Ladysmith for more restaurants and supplies. Golfers can hit the links at Twin Oaks Golf Course, while hikers can explore Christie Mountain’s trails or rent a boat at nearby resorts on Holcombe Flowage and Potato Lake.
In winter, the area transforms into a snowy playground. Try cross‑country skiing or snowshoeing on local trails, or head to the slopes at Christie Mountain for downhill skiing and snowboarding. Year‑round, Rusk County events like fairs, farmers markets and music festivals give you a taste of small‑town Wisconsin life. Whatever the season, you’ll find plenty of outdoor adventure and relaxation here.

Riverwoods Cabin is such a gem! Waking up to the river view each morning was magical. The cabin was clean, well equipped and cozy. We especially loved sitting around the campfire under the stars. — Mary J.
We've stayed here twice now and it never disappoints. The private launch made getting our kayak into the river so easy, and we spent hours fishing and exploring. Jaci is a wonderful host and always goes above and beyond. — Tom K.

I'm Jaci, your host and caretaker of this special place. I live on the property in a separate home and love sharing my slice of paradise with guests. My husband and I built this tiny cabin to offer visitors a chance to slow down and reconnect with nature. When I’m not greeting guests, you’ll find me paddling the river, gardening or playing with our two friendly cats who may come by to say hello. I’m available by phone or text during your stay, and I look forward to helping you create unforgettable memories on the Chippewa River.
