Sunset Cove Cabin is a new vacation rental located on the shore of Grindstone Lake in the Hayward, WI, area. This tastefully furnished waterfront cabin features an open great room with high vaulted ceilings and large windows looking out over the lake and wooded property.
The kitchen and dining room are ready to host your group meals, with dishes and cookware, modern appliances, and a family-style table with seating for six plus a breakfast bar with stools. The adjacent sitting room has a stone-surround fireplace and padded window seats.
On the upper level, Sunset Cove Cabin has a unique lofted master suite, with a king-sized bed and a private full bath. On the main floor, two guest bedrooms are furnished with one queen bed and two sets of extra long twin bunk beds. On the lower walk-out level, the final bedroom is furnished with a queen and a twin bed. Each bedroom has a full bath nearby on the same level.
The walk-out level at Sunset Cove Cabin has covered parking with a balcony above. The balcony is a great place to unwind and enjoy the lake view and the fresh air. This outdoor relaxation space is furnished with a small table and several lounge chairs. Out in the yard near the water, there is a fire pit with Adirondack chairs and down on the shore there is a boat dock.
This waterfront lodge is located about five miles from the casino and eight miles from shopping, dining and attractions in downtown Hayward, Wisconsin. Take the family on a Hayward excursion for go karts, regional museums, minigolf, the seasonal lumberjack show, and more. There are also five golf courses and several wineries nearby!
If you’re here in the winter, you’re in luck — the snowmobile trail access point is on the lake right in front of the cabin, and the ATV trails have an entrance just a short way down the road. Grindstone Lake is also known for boating, swimming and excellent fishing. The water is clear with a sandy bottom, with a gradually increasing depth great for wading and swimming.

My family and I had a wonderful weekend in the woods. The property is lovely — located on a beautiful lake. We enjoyed walks in the woods. The kitchen was well supplied. There was ample space for all of us. I would recommend this property as a wonderful place to get away.
This cabin is the perfect place for a family to spend a relaxing time at the lake. The water is crystal clear and there is direct access to the water. Pets are welcome and the cabin is very We had a wonderful time at Sunset Cove. My husband, myself, and our four young adults stayed for an extended Memorial Day weekend. We also brought our two dogs. The cabin is very nicely decorated with log furniture, the beds are comfortable, and the new fire pit deck was perfect. We rented a pontoon and floated, attempting to fish. We’ll be back, loved the area and everyone was so friendly.
