Nestled in the Chequamagan Nat'l Forest on Lost Land Lake, this oasis is on a quiet lake designated for silent sporting-canoeing, fishing, pontooning, and kayaking. Within 2 miles of the property are more than 300 miles of CAMBA mountain biking trails. Black top around the lake offers rolling hills for the rollerblader or cyclist. A class A musky lake, it offers great fishing and boat accessible resorts for fish fry, food and beverages. This west facing property offers spectacular sunsets and a vacant property to the south of the 200 feet of lake shore frontage. With 5 acres of private land to explore and 2800 acres of water to discover, this is a true slice of heaven.
Five night minimum in the summer months.
Quiet Lakeside Solitude-
The lake has a 10 mile an hour speed limit and has no tubing, waterskiing or jet skis. This allows for a peaceful experience and not feeling like you are on the freeway listening to motor noise.
Lake ordinance requires a 200 foot minimum of lakeshore for each property. This allows for an uncrowded lake and a feeling a really being in the woods.
We provide 2 kayaks, canoe and paddle boat for silently exploring the lake. Lost Land Lake is also connected to Teal Lake by a mile long channel that teems with wildlife. This access allows even more lake to explore. Teal lake has three public islands that lend itself to picnics and exploration.
Hayward and Cable are about a 25 minute drive from the cabin allowing options for the cute small town exploration.
Hayward has many restaurants and shops along with a Monday flea market.
Cable has a unique vibe with a few restaurants and shops and the wonderful Tilly's Pies and the Cable Natural History Museum.
Garmisch Resort is about 15 minutes away and offers a step back in time and the best German food you'll find.
If you are looking for physical activity off the lake, the 300+ miles of CAMBA mountain biking trails are close. Some are even bikeable from the cabin. No need to get in your car! So much to explore in this area.

We are Terri and Nate Marsten. Terri is a teacher and Nate is in banking. We are avid outdoors people enjoying swimming, skiing, biking, fishing and boat cruises around the lake. About 20 years ago, we purchased this little slice of heaven in order to have a place to relax and pull away from the comings and goings of daily life. We have two children who spent their childhoods at the cabin. As we do not have as many opportunities to get the cabin, we now share its magic with others who are looking to get away and unplug.
