Nestled among whispering pines, quaking aspens and bold oak trees, Our Gilmore Lake House is a Northwoods oasis equipped to fulfill the needs of your stay, whether you are looking for a peaceful escape from the city or an activity-filled vacation with loved ones.

Your stay at the Lake House provides free access to water-bound activities including (2) kayaks and (2) paddleboards. A dock is provided directly in front of the house if you are bringing or renting your own boat.

Gilmore Lake is approximately 400 acres and 31 feet deep allowing for a full recreational experience. The Lake is home for Northerns, Bass, Walleye and Pan fish. You’ll make family memories by catching fish right off the dock!!
Wake up to the beautiful calling of the loons and the sound of the Bald Eagle.

Ample space both inside and out provides options for small or large group meals alike. The inside kitchen and dining area includes a pine table with seating for 8 and a high top that seats 4. Outdoor table and benches also seats 8.


The main floor Master Bedroom includes a private full bath and a California King bed that overlooks the lake. Bedroom 2 (main floor) has a full-size bed with a full bathroom located just steps down the hall. The walkout basement includes an additional 2 bedrooms, both with a queen bed. The larger also includes a bunk bed (full down below and twin above) and a crib. These bedrooms share a bathroom just across the hall with a stand-up shower. Additional sleeping arrangements are available & can be discussed in more detail upon inquiry.

Unique Features

Two large gathering rooms on both the main & lower level floors overlook Lake Gilmore. The lower level family room features walkout access to a sprawling backyard large enough for all types of games and gatherings. The backyard offers a gentle, flat approach to the lake, making water access easy & accessible for all ages – no stairs! There is a small beachy shore with a sandy waterfront offering, ideal for playing water games, floating, kayaking, or paddleboarding.

Things To Do

Our Lake House is located 25 minutes North of Spooner, 25 minutes West of Hayward and 45 minutes South of Duluth. Each of these cities have many offerings – including shopping, restaurants/bars/microbreweries/wineries, mini golf or go-karting.

The House is nearby County Parks for walking and State Parks for hiking or kayaking.
