This Pet Friendly Lakefront Cabin for Families sits on a quiet channel with a private pier and easy access to Lake Puckaway in Green Lake County—so you can launch the day’s fun right from the yard. Designed for groups who want room to spread out and relax together, the home sleeps up to 12 with six second-floor bedrooms and three bathrooms. The bedrooms line a hallway off the Great Room and open to a screened wraparound deck where kids (and grown-ups) can sway on hanging swings or climb onto the adult-size wooden rocking horses between lake adventures. Inside, the Great Room’s fireplace anchors movie nights and family games, while big windows and multiple conversation zones keep everyone connected—pets included. This is the rare place where multi-generation comfort, kid-friendly perks, and dog-friendly policies meet true lakeside convenience for families.
Step into the “Big Dipper,” a 20-foot indoor hot tub with mood lighting beside an adjoining dining area—great for post-paddle soaks or winter warm-ups. The full kitchen and main dining area keep meals easy for a crowd, and the game room piles on entertainment with a pool table, wet bar, pinball machine, antique slot machine, old-fashioned jukebox, tuned piano, and a wood-burning fireplace. Outside, you’ll find expansive grounds for yard games, a large fire pit for s’mores, a seasonal umbrella garden, and a working antique phone booth that’s become a favorite photo op. Parking is generous for vehicles and trailers. Whether you’re planning a mid-week escape or a full family reunion, this pet-friendly lake house was built for year-round memory-making on the water.
If you love character, this Pet Friendly Lakefront Cabin for Families delivers it from the first glimpse: two six-foot urn planters frame a hand-carved seating nook; a 40-foot stained-glass awning and 10-foot French doors lead to a foyer with stained-glass walls that spill color across the porch.
The style continues inside with three substantial stone-and-granite wood-burning fireplaces and that one-of-a-kind “Big Dipper” indoor hot tub—an amenity families talk about long after the trip. The screened wraparound deck opens directly from the bedroom wing, creating a rare blend of privacy and togetherness: coffee on the swings at sunrise, quiet reading when the baby naps, or a breezy spot to relax with the dog after a swim.
Out on the lawn, a private pier offers channel access to Lake Puckaway, while the oversized fire ring, umbrella garden, and a whimsical working antique phone booth keep the vibe playful. Every corner feels curated for families—kid-approved, dog-approved, and easy for grandparents—so the whole crew can enjoy lake days and slow evenings in a space you won’t find anywhere else.
Bring the rods, kayaks, and life jackets—this Pet Friendly Lakefront Cabin for Families puts you steps from boating, paddling, and fishing right off the private pier, with ice fishing, snowmobiling, ice boating, and cross-country skiing when the temperatures drop. Lake Puckaway itself is a sprawling, 5,013-acre waterway with public landings, known for species such as walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass, catfish, and panfish; its shallow profile makes for relaxed family boating and shoreline wildlife watching. Back on shore, evenings belong by the fire pit under the stars.
When you’re ready to explore, head a short distance to the 7,000-acre Grand River Marsh Wildlife Area for easy hiking, birding, paddling, and nature photography; the marsh includes a 1,446-acre shallow lake and is a favorite stop for families who want a low-key, bring-your-binoculars outing. Scenic drives reveal one of Wisconsin’s largest Amish communities around Kingston and Dalton, where you’ll find handcrafted woodwork, quilts, and baked goods. Between lake time, trail time, and small-town detours, you’ll have a full menu of family-friendly day trips that start and end at your dog-friendly home base on the water.

Adeline’s House of Cool is proudly family-owned and owner-operated by Brian Urbanowski, whose creative touch is everywhere you look. He’s the mind behind the lodge’s whimsical stained-glass features and other custom art pieces, all designed to make gatherings feel playful, memorable, and easy for multi-generation groups. The home began as the family’s own waterfront cabin on Lake Puckaway and evolved into a whole-house retreat that stays true to its original spirit: kid- and pet-friendly, comfortable year-round, and packed with one-of-a-kind details like the signature indoor “Big Dipper” hot tub.
Hospitality here is hands-on and responsive. Guests frequently mention Brian—and caretaker/manager Tom—for going the extra mile before and during stays, and the team’s local roots show up in the property’s community ties through area chambers and visitor groups across Green Lake County. Today the home also goes by “Adeline’s Retreat,” a nod to how many visitors treat it as their private lakeside hideaway; whichever name you use, you’ll be welcomed by people who love sharing this corner of Wisconsin and are easy to reach with questions or special requests.
