Moose Haven is tucked away in a private cove on the south end of Moose Lake in Hayward, WI. This five-bedroom lakefront cabin is the perfect getaway for nature lovers, with 1,200 feet of meandering, wild shoreline on 11 wooded acres.
Two lakeview bedrooms at Moose Haven offer walk-out access to private balconies — what better way to bask in the clean country air and release the cares of everyday life? Vaulted ceilings and large windows fill this luxury retreat with lots of natural light.
The common areas of this 10-person vacation home are centrally located on the ground floor and include an open kitchen, dining area and great room. Guests will love the rustic décor and the large stone hearth and fireplace.
A large deck connects to the main house, offering an outdoor dining area for warm-weather barbecues. On the lower level, a well-equipped game room comes with foosball, an electric dart board and a large collection of board games for all ages.
Sleeping accommodations: Moose Haven’s five private bedrooms are equipped with four full-sized beds and two twin-sized beds.
NOTE: Towels are not provided at this property.
Moose Haven is ideally located on 1,559-acre Moose Lake in Sawyer county, offering great fishing off the property’s private dock. Guests can bring their poles and angle for musky, panfish, bass and walleye. We also provide four kayaks for guests to use on the calm waters of the lake and nearby rivers.
Moose Haven is settled near the Chequamegon National Forest and a number of other natural wildlife areas, including Moose Lake and a number of other small-to-medium inland lakes and a couple of rivers and streams.
The varied habitat makes the Northwoods a haven for whitetail deer, black bears, timber wolves, elk, bald eagles, beavers, otters and loons — keep an eye out for critters while you paddle the shorelines, explore the waterways and hike, bike or snowshoe the hundreds of miles of crisscrossing nature trails that traverse the national forest and its surrounding area.
Hayward is also a hotspot for fun seasonal human life, with events, competitions and activities scheduled throughout the year. Some local favorites include the Lumberjack World Championships, the Sawyer County Fair, Musky fest and the Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival.

Nightly rates at Moose Haven $300 per night, with a three-night minimum stay during the off season.
During peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), Moose Haven rents on a weekly-only basis. Weekly rentals run Friday to Friday.
Sales tax of 5.5 percent will be added to all rental rates, along with a $79.13 booking fee (includes tax). This property has a $150 cleaning fee to be added to final price.
A refundable damage deposit of half the rent is required on the day of arrival.
