The interior has a cozy and old-fashioned feel, with real-wood finish, deep leather sofas and reading chairs, an iron grate fireplace in a stone hearth, unique ironwork light fixtures and vibrant rugs on the hardwood floors.
This secluded cabin for eight in Hayward, WI is a special mix of modern and traditional, with original designs and antique statement pieces juxtaposed with modern appliances and other conveniences including WiFi. The single story includes a full kitchen, a sitting room, a dining room, three bedrooms and two full baths.
Sleeping arrangements: Penabryn Timbers offers lakefront accommodations for six, with one queen-sized bed and four twin-sized beds arranged in three private bedrooms.

Penabryn Timbers offers a beautiful lakefront view on 1,194-acre Spider Lake in Sawyer County. This lake is moderately clear, with a maximum depth of 64 feet — perfect conditions for fishing! Spider Lake is a known habitat for musky, panfish, walleye and bass. It’s also a great place to swim, with a natural shoreline and a sandy bottom.
Besides swimming and casting off the docks around Spider Lake, guests making Penabryn Timbers their vacation home base will find lots to do in Hayward and the surrounding area.
Hayward is a popular four-seasons tourist destination, offering all of the most infamous Northwoods pastimes — paddling on a number of local lakes and rivers, hiking and biking the trails of the national forests, winding drives on country roads, and of course ice fishing, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.
The land around Penabryn Timbers is traversed by hundreds of miles of scenic nature trails, but there are also areas of deep wilderness. Careful and unobtrusive woodland travelers have a chance to see a huge variety of wildlife, including timber wolves, black bears, elk, whitetail deer, bald eagles, loons, otters and beavers.
Hayward is also a central location for a variety of human activity, including trail races and other competitions — some famous ones include the Mt. Borah Epic, the Chequamegon 100, the Fat Tire Birkie and the Lumberjack World Championships — as well as community events, such as Musky Fest, the Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival and the Sawyer County Fair.

Nightly rates at Penabryn Timbers $300 per night, with a three-night minimum stay during the off season.
During peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), Penabryn Timbers rents on a weekly-only basis. Weekly rentals run Saturday to Saturday.
Sales tax of 5.5 percent will be added to all rental rates, along with a $79.13 booking fee (includes tax).
A refundable damage deposit of half the rent is required on the day of arrival.
