Whitetail ridge is a 13-person, modern vacation rental nestled in the trees just outside of the Wisconsin Dells. At 2,192 square feet, this newly built, luxury log cabin is thoughtfully equipped to meet every need. With five private bedrooms and two full baths, Whitetail Ridge can comfortably accommodate up to 13 guests. This home is decorated with great attention to detail, incorporating modern appliances and high-end finishes with antiques and a rustic atmosphere. Small touches like the deer-antler light fixtures, natural edge door and frames and the full-size canoe hanging from the rafters make this cabin a truly unique experience.

The main living area on the ground floor features a wide-open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and a gleaming hardwood floor. The front door opens to an inviting lounge space with soft sofas grouped around a stone fireplace and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV. Behind the sofas, guests will find unique dining accommodations in the form of a custom-made, rough-cut timber dining table and chairs for eight with a long wooden bench running the length of one side. There is also a free-standing kitchen bar in a matching style with three breakfast stools. The kitchen itself is fully equipped with dinnerware and cookware, with stainless-steel appliances, warm wooden cabinets and ample counter space.

Sleeping arrangements: Whitetail Ridge offers five private bedrooms to easily accommodate large groups or multiple families. The master bedroom on the main floor contains a king-sized bed and a pack-n-play. The second bedroom on the main floor contains two twin-sized beds. On the lower level, two separate bedrooms contain a set of bunk beds each, with a twin-sized bed lofted over a queen-sized bed. The final bedroom, also on the lower level, contains one queen-sized bed. All beds are fitted with high-quality mattresses. All linens are provided for you. There is 1 exterior security camera that views part of the front porch and the driveway. This is for security of the property only.

Unique Features

Whitetail Ridge luxury cabin sits on a private lot hedged in by tall pines, with a level, grassy lawn and stone landscaping. To the back of the house, a private deck looks out into the wood, with a propane grill and a picnic table. To the side of the house, an open clearing centers on a large stone fire pit surrounded on all sides by heavy wooden benches. A smaller front porch is perfect for relaxing and taking in the fresh air. To the front of the house, guests will also find a large, paved drive perfect for vehicles, boats and trailers.

On the lower level, a secondary recreation space is furnished with two more soft leather sofas, an entertainment center with a huge flat-screen TV and a pool table. The home has a full bath on each floor, with a walk-in shower and separate whirlpool tub on the lower level.

Things To Do

Whitetail Ridge is located just across the street from a series of public-access nature trails winding through the woods and down to the Wisconsin River. (Please DO NOT use the private trails-they will call us!) The River is a popular local attraction for boating and fishing, and equipment rentals are available nearby at Holiday Shores on the Lake of the Dells for jet boats, jet skis, canoes, kayaks and tubes. The cabin is near to several golf courses, a spa, a huge selection of water and theme parks, hundreds of unique local dining experiences and outlet shopping.

Visitors can see live music and theater, explore the state parks at Devil’s Lake and Mirror Lake, feed giraffes or free-roaming deer at the specialty animal parks, go sledding and downhill skiing at Christmas Mountain Resort, ride horses or Army Ducks, tour Wollersheim Winery, or spend an evening at the Ho-Chunk casino. Some local favorite dining experiences include the Del-Bar and Cimaroli’s Supper Club.

About the Owner/Manager

We are Leon and Sondra and our family lives in the Wisconsin Dells area. We love this area for it's breathtaking beauty. We (our 3 daughters especially) love boating and playing on the beaches of the Wisconsin River and Castle Rock Lake. This area is so unique because it has a great small town vibe, but there is so much to do and see!

We moved from the Milwaukee area in 2006 and have been loving the quieter pace that this beautiful town has to offer. Our homes (except the Eagles Nest) are just far enough out of town for a peaceful, quiet surrounding, but close enough for it to be convenient for supplies, many dining options and the famous Wisconsin Dells entertainment. One of our homes, the Eagles Nest, is located on a uniquely wooded, waterview lot right in town.
