R Point of View is a charming private lake cabin tucked away at the end of South Bay on Little Saint Germain Lake. Surrounded by towering pines and sparkling water, this hidden gem offers surprising space and comfort for families and couples. The peaceful setting at the end of the bay means you’ll enjoy nature’s sights and sounds with minimal boat traffic and incredible lake views.
Inside, an oversized kitchen and dining area welcome you to gather for family meals, board games or an evening of cards. There are two bedrooms—one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds—plus a full bath with a shower stall. Two pull‑out sofa sleepers in the living area provide extra sleeping space so everyone can spread out. Large windows and cozy décor create a warm, inviting atmosphere that will make you feel right at home.
Step outside to more than 100 feet of pristine shoreline on Little Saint Germain Lake and your own private pier. A gently sloping sand bottom and shallow water right in front of the cabin are perfect for youngsters to splash and play, while the large deck overlooks the lake for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Guests also have the option of renting a 10‑person Misty Harbor pontoon that’s set up for cruising, fishing and even pulling tubes for the kids. This is true Northwoods living!
One of the biggest highlights of R Point of View is its exclusive lakeside location. Sitting on a point at the end of South Bay, the cabin offers panoramic water views and a sense of complete seclusion. With over one hundred feet of private shoreline and a sand wading area, you’re never more than a few steps from the lake. Spend your days swimming, fishing or simply relaxing on the private pier while watching eagles soar overhead.
In addition to the spectacular setting, guests appreciate the cabin’s thoughtful amenities. The spacious kitchen includes a large dining table that’s perfect for puzzles, games or family‑style dinners. Comfortable seating around the firepit invites long conversations under starry skies, and the large deck is ideal for wildlife watching. Adventurers can rent the Misty Harbor pontoon during their stay, a 10‑passenger boat equipped for cruising and tubing that makes exploring the lake effortless and fun.
Life at R Point of View centers around the water. Start your day with a sunrise paddle or cast a line for walleye and panfish from your private pier. The sand‑bottom shoreline makes it easy for kids to splash and swim, and you can launch kayaks or paddleboards right from shore. If you decide to rent the pontoon boat, spend an afternoon touring all 14 miles of Little Saint Germain Lake’s shoreline, stopping to swim in quiet bays or pull the kids on an inner tube.
When you’re ready to explore on land, St. Germain is known for its biking and hiking trails. The paved Heart of Vilas County Trail stretches for miles through the forest and is perfect for a family bike ride. Nearby public forests offer hiking opportunities with chances to spot deer, otters, loons and maybe even a black bear. In winter, the area transforms into a snowmobile and cross‑country skiing paradise with hundreds of miles of groomed trails accessible right from town.
The town of St. Germain is a short drive away for restaurants, groceries and unique shops. Browse the local flea markets, sample Wisconsin cheeses and grab an ice cream cone after a day on the water. Golfers will appreciate the 18‑hole course just minutes from the cabin, and families can visit mini‑golf courses, go‑kart tracks and go horseback riding. Whether you spend your days exploring or simply relaxing on the deck, you’ll love coming home to R Point of View.
