Vacation time here gets you on the water for free: Canoe,2 kayaks, paddleboat, 14’ Lund fishing boat. You can bring your boat, or rent our 23 foot Premier Pontoon boat with 60hp motor and exploring the lake & small islands. Dock them right in front of the lodge, just steps from the lakeside deck.
Huge dining table with 10 chairs, and the kitchen has all you need to cook together. Some unexpected amenities too: Screen porch, Jetted tub, kitchen Island seats an additional 4 and the Kitchen table seats 5. The large turn around driveway comes in handy for extra cars and trailers.
Sleeping arrangement: King size bed and queen size bed in the Master bedroom. Amazing Master Bath too. Bedroom 2 in the loft has 1 queen, 1 double and 1 twin. Bedroom 3 in the Loft has a queen bed, full bed and a twin bed. 1 large full bathroom in the upstairs loft with double sinks. Bedroom 4 in the basement has 1 queen bed. Bedroom 5 in the basement has 1 queen bed and 1 full size bed. 1 3/4 bath in the basement. There is a guest bathroom with sink and toilet off the main living area.
Unique Features
Great Room area (pool table, fooseball, and lots of card/board games) leads to the deck, and the upstairs loft offers incredible lake views. There is plenty of room in our 5000 square foot log cabin on the beautiful Minong Flowage. The floor to ceiling windows overlook the large lawn that leads to the lake - play Horseshoes.

Things To Do
Fishing on the Minong Flowage is great for northern, walleye, bass, and pan fish. You can image how tasty the fish fry’s are in the northwoods. Minong has a sporting goods store, coffee shop, 2 cafes, 2 restaurants, an ice cream parlor, A&W, grocery/liquor store marine, hardware store and more. Guests love to boat to Pogo's Harbor Inn for a casual dinner and relax outside. Pull the kids on tubes, or just go swimming off the 40' dock. End the day by gathering around the fire ring by the lake and listen to the loons.
Winter time is no time to hibernate like a bear. Bring your snowmobiles and cross country skis, because all trails lead right to your front door. The beautiful sunsets at the lodge are incredible no matter what season your visit. Come on in and warm up by the lodge fireplace.
If you can pull yourself away from the Totagatic (Calm Water) Lodge; you won’t believe everything that is 1/2 hour away or less: 3 casinos, 10 challenging golf courses, nearby rivers for float-tubing, canoeing and kayaking. Explore the friendly town of Hayward or Spooner. Duluth is only 50 minutes away!

Travelled with 8 women and we each had out own bed, which was ideal. We drove over to stone lake for the Cranberry Festival with about 20,000 other people ;-), but it was a fun afternoon. Listened to the Loons at night and good trails for walking during the day. Easy drive from the cities. Owner Norma was responsive and helpful answering all our questions prior to arriving. About the Owner/Manager
We are Bruce and Norma Peterson. We love being able to share this wonderful vacation retreat. We know you’ll fall in love with the the beauty of the lake, private lot with beautiful lake shore, and surrounding woods. We love being 25 minutes from downtown Hayward, too - just far enough away to get that "Canadian-like" remoteness. Our Totagatic Lodge is open year round because we think everyone should enjoy ice fishing, snowmobiling and cross country skiing, too.
