Tucked along the shores of Big Arbor Vitae Lake, Fisherman’s Cottage is a classic Northwoods retreat with modern comforts. The lakefront setting puts you right on the water, making it easy to cast a line off the private pier or launch a boat for a day of exploring
Inside, the cottage offers two cozy bedrooms and a full bathroom, comfortably accommodating up to six guests. The open living area features a fully equipped kitchen with cookware and dinnerware, a dining table, and a sitting area where you can play board games, read a book or watch your favorite show. A sunny enclosed porch provides a relaxing spot to take in the lake view, rain or shine. Essentials like linens, towels and Wi‑Fi are provided.
Outdoors, a lakeside fire pit, grill and spacious yard invite you to grill out, roast marshmallows and enjoy lawn games. When you’re ready to explore, a second rental on the property shares the yard and piers, making this an ideal setting for larger families or groups travelling together.
Unique Features
This cottage sits on Big Arbor Vitae Lake, a largely undeveloped lake. Guests will enjoy stunning water views from the property, quick access to walleye fishing and plenty of wildlife‑watching opportunities. The private pier and shared boat slip make water access seamless, and a kayak is available for guest use.
Fisherman’s Cottage is one of two rentals at Water’s Edge. Guests share the piers, yard and fire pit, but each cabin has its own indoor living spaces. Security cameras are positioned outdoors facing away from the cottages for peace of mind.
Things To Do
Guests can spend their days fishing for walleye, musky and bass right off the pier or explore the lake’s shoreline by boat or kayak. The clear waters invite swimming, paddling and, in winter, ice fishing.
When venturing beyond the lake, the Minocqua area offers a variety of attractions. Supper clubs, taverns and ice‑cream parlors are minutes away, and the town hosts live music and flea markets throughout the summer. Visitors can browse the shops in Minocqua or visit the region’s well‑known flea market.
Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate nearby hiking and biking trails as well as cross‑country skiing and snowmobiling in winter. Horseback riding, golf and water‑park fun are available within a short drive. After a day out, returning to the lakeside cottage to relax by the fire under the stars is a highlight for many.
